EDENHOPE FARMS

6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents6 acres · Beaufort, SC
Edenhope Farms is nestled on 6 acres and is a sanctuary for rescued and unique animals. We have a Zebu bull, which are the oldest recorded bovine in history, dating back to the Bible. We have goats and peacocks, chickens, a potbellied pig, rescued squirrels, and rescued ducks. Soon to come.... Sheep!!! My property used to be the disposal site for the CocaCola bottling Company. Go on a scavenger hunt and find old bottles. Relax around the fire pit and listen to owls, wild geese, bull frogs and the Quack Pack. Lounge on the spacious deck overlooking all the farm animals or take a dip in the swimming pool. At night grill on the BBQ or have an oyster roast. We do have an indoor toilet for you to use and an outdoor shower. Go for a walk through the woods, do yoga, head to Hunting Island beach which is 10 miles or drive 3 miles to historic downtown Beaufort. We are also close to Parris Island and many other historical sites. While here you can enjoy historical tours of Beaufort County’s earliest years of the Santa Helena colony in the mid 1600’s, the revolutionary war period, the pre-civil war and plantation time period and the antebellum, reconstruction history up to the Civil Rights visits of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Historic Penn Center. The Lowcountry is great for water sports, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, sailing, hiking and canoeing. Each season offers an opportunity to participate in fishing, crabbing, shrimping or digging for oysters in local waters. Our area is a favorite of cyclist groups, the long, flat, rural, scenic, roads offer pleasant riding experiences for cyclist of all ability levels. There are bike lanes on many of the major roads. Opossum Hollow

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Slater Marietta, SC
Welcome to Opossum Hollow in the quaint mountain town of Travelers Rest! Our partially restored 1984 Airstream Excella – lovingly referred to as "`Possum Holler"– is situated on the same property as our home. With a covered space for parking and a 35 foot skylight deck, this outdoor space is designed for cool evening lounging and warm afternoon napping. We worked with a number of local artisans to design and create the entire space, ensuring most every element is handmade, up-cycled, and recycled! KITCHEN & DINING We created an outdoor kitchen on the covered deck with a small gas grill, a huge double sink, and an ice bucket for cool drinks. The vintage wicker dining table is the perfect place to play a game of cards with a glass of sweet tea. There is a kitchen in the Airstream as well, with a functioning gas stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and electric kettle. The dinette inside is perfect for morning tea or reading a book in the cool early mornings! THE LIVING SPACES Our part of the country is home to a few loving country cats, and we've learned to live as they do. Which is why we've added a lovely daybed which catches the evening sun for a perfect sunset snooze. The sun loungers on either side of the fireplace were made by local craft furniture designers, who created these specifically for Opossum Hollow! The outdoor fireplace is fully functional, and we have firewood available for you by request! We have a lovely handmade picnic table in the garden, which is available for you to use if you want to watch the on-site honeybees gather pollen from flower beds. BATHROOM There is a fully functional outdoor bathroom behind the Airstream, set up for you to enjoy bubble baths under the stars or afternoon cool showers. We've even set up a space for wine glasses beside the tub if you fancy an evening to unwind! We have your towels, robes, and blankets all set, so just show up ready to relax. The bathroom inside the Airstream is not functional, and can be used as a vanity. 👉 Please note, there are cats on the property. They lived here before we did, so we simply coexist together and they will likely be on the deck from time to time. They are never inside the Airstream. 👉 Please note, there are honeybees on the property. Honeybees are not wasps, and they are not aggressive. If you have an allergy to bees or wasps, please take caution and come prepared with anything you may need. AROUND TRAVELERS REST Cycling – The start of the famous Swamp Rabbit Trail is just under 2 miles away Hiking - Caesars Head, Wildcat Wayside, Paris Mountain, and more! Dining - From fine dining to roadside BBQ, we have a printed guide for you! Breweries - Swamp Rabbit Brewery and Community Tap are just up the road! Wineries - Meaderies, cideries, and wineries are all over this region! Markets - Weekends you can explore local Farmers & Craft Markets! ❤️ Opossum Hollow was inspired by our dear friend, Ginger. A portion of the proceeds from your booking will be donated to Hospice Foundation of Savannah, and Greenville Humane Society in her loving memory.

Mike's country home and land

Welcome to Creekside FarmCreekside Farm is a place where you can slow down and enjoy things you might not normally notice. We are glad you are Here.We invite you to sit back, take your shoes off, and breathe deeply as you read this – slowly.Creekside is very special place where you, and those important to you can unplug and gently "be" with eachother. My wife Beth and I fell in love with this property because it has a unique way of calling us out of our busy livesand into a meaningful space of connection with our senses, each other and those we care about. We hope youhave the chance to experience this on your visit. In my work as a leadership consultant and executive coach I've had the opportunity to find a few "bestpractices" for a meaningful experience of life. I offer them to you below should you want to try them out duringyour visit. I promise they will impact your time here - and your time when you leave here - tremendously:Being and DoingSometimes it’s just fine to sit down and not do anything.Experience and CaptureSometimes you don’t need to capture an experience, just experience it.Quality and QuantitySometimes quality of life is more satisfying than quantity of life. Maybe less is more.Sensing and ThinkingSometimes thinking is overrated. Sitting still and sensing what is right in front of us can be eye-opening.Silence and NoiseSometimes saying nothing says everything. Turning off the phones and devices and listening to the nature’ssounds can further awaken and resensitize us.Below you will find information about this special place. It includes invitations, requests and details about howthings work here at the farm.We invite you...1. To use your time here to nourish your Self, Spirit and Body. Walk, breathe, smell, touch, see, and taste whatyou desire.2. To put away your phones and devices and be with the people you are here with.3. To remove your shoes when in the home and feel the floor under your feet.4. To be outside whenever you can. There is goodness out there. Go anywhere you want on property, it isbordered by the creek.5. To eat slowly, talk slowly, walk slowly and just hang.
