This was our second stay at Deer Acres. Chester is always so inviting and accommodating. Deer Acres has become our “go-to” whenever we’re in the area. We highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Upriver Paradise -"Private Retreat"

Everything was great!!! The directions to the location were easy to navigate. The location was amazing taken care of so beautifully!!! Steve did a wonderful job at decorating it with little knick knacks and trinkets to make you feel at home, but the site still had an outdoor camping vibe!! The river roared and sounded beautiful at night. The chairs on the river bank were the best part, to just sit out there and relax. It was cold but I bet in the summer it will be a nice spot to sit and look at the stars and catch the water glistening off the moonlight. Can't wait to go back!!

Nice full hookup site. There was not anyone in the other site, so we had the place to ourselves for the 4 nights we were there. We do a lot of boondocking, so having full hookups was a nice change of pace.

Clean facilities and very accessible location 🩶 Rode our bikes 🚴🏽 into town. Quiet spot s as well. Definitely going to come back and use the camp as a staple place to stay anytime we are in bend.

Weekend Trip to deer acres

Our host has really done a great job creating pull through camp spaces. Perfectly layed out opposing spaces with an island of services between them. BBQ stands, durable hand made fire rings, picnic tables, garbage station - all in excellent condition. Host even provides sewer hose ramp/stands for waste water. Well cared for lawns also! We’re considering setting up our own Hipcamp and this is the example we’l be using when we do so. Absolutely saved as a favorite and if we should travel to/through the area again this is the place we’ll look for.

This site was amazing and very peaceful. Steve was a fabulous host and made sure everything was in order. The site was huge, had two hookups, multiple chairs, fire pits, and tables. It really had anything you need. Aside from big trucks going by on the road you couldn’t hear any noise over the river as you are set back. I definitely plan on staying here again.

What a cool and unique spot! Steve was awesome helping us get our 40' 5th wheel in place. It was tight, but we made it! We unfortunately had to leave after 1 night but it was a gorgeous spot. Will definitely be back!

What an amazing spot. You could easily fit a few campers in here. We were solo just cause we like it like that. The camp is immaculate, the host Steve was amazing. You do get a little road noise due to the proximity of Hwy 126, but it's well worth it.

The site was clean and easy to back my 24' trailer into. The location in convenient to most all things Bend. Bathroom was clean, dog park was clean, it is a nice place to camp in downtown (nearly) Bend.

4 nights at Upriver Paradise -"Private Retreat"

Absolute perfection. This place is one very large single campsite with 2 seperate hookups for a family or small group. It is in trees just feet away from the Mckenzie River. It has been immaculately cared for and is a fabulous lay out and design. The host was thoughtful about everything including putting a bamboo wall around the porta potty. It is so peaceful with the sound of the river. We were there 4.5 days and never saw another person. This is now in our list of places to return. And I can not do it justice with words.

Our house and RV site are 10 minutes from all things Bend. We are located south of town on .5 acres. The RV site is on the side of our front yard, sheltered by Ponderosa, Juniper and Aspen trees. Although we have neighbors, the location is across from a number of uninhabited acres of high desert. Within a 10 minute drive, you'll have access to mountain biking trails, hiking trails, the Deschutes river, Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Downtown Bend, the Old Mill District, and a ridiculous number of breweries and excellent restaurants. The RV site itself is a back-in grassy spot, shaded by trees, with both water and electrical hook-ups. This is the perfect spot for those seeking a base camp to explore all that Central Oregon has to offer. For reference, the RV in the photos is 27 feet from hitch to bumper, and there is room to spare for longer RVs.***There is some road noise. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. We have a private single site located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Rainbow, Oregon. The access road and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. There are also four restaurants, a food cart, golf course and a general store nearby.
