Andrew is super friendly and accommodating. Has a nice spot under a tree set up with log benches and a fire pit ready to use. We were greeted by his adorable toddler son while we set up camp. The grass was pretty long all over the property- just hasn’t yet had its first spring mowing. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have cleared pathways to the shower and toilet. But we had a relaxing evening at the site, and wandered over to watch the goats for a bit. Andrew and his wife have a great little farm with a big vision. The entrance gate is easy to miss, so follow his arrival instructions.

As a solo female traveler I have found that there are some hipcamps that are perfectly safe, but still give give you slight unease. This is NOT one of those places!! It's beautiful, safe, and super easy to navigate day or night! Highly recommend:)

1 night at On The Rogue

The site was clean and neat. The view of the river was beautiful. We were in site #1, and feel that is the best site of the four. We were the only campers for the one night we stayed, so it felt spacious. It definitely would have felt more cramped if there were campers in the site next to us.

2 nights at Cornerstone Ranch

I loved camping at Bonnie and Chris's ranch! The property is beautiful, I especially liked the cypress trees and creek running near our campsite. Lots of cute animals, friendly cats and dogs around as well. Would definitely camp here again.

1 night at Wild Azalea Eco-Camp

Great place to stay overnight on our way through. Loved the little trail and space for the kids to explore. Arrival was easy, hosts accommodating. The sites aren’t very private to each other, but that wasn’t a problem for us.

Weekend Trip to Wild Azalea Eco-Camp

This was a wonderful place to camp overnight while on a solo road trip. Communication with the host was excellent before and during my stay. Vanessa greeted me upon arrival and could not have been nicer. I opted for the propane firepit. Sipping my morning coffee while sitting next to the fire was a treat. The turkeys walking down the road and calling out every time geese flew overhead served as entertainment. The toilet was incredibly clean and odor free. Would definitely stay here again. I plan to stay multiple days in the future in the tent site that is off by itself with the creek nearby. Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend Trip to Suncatcher Homestead's Yurt

We had an incredible time staying at the yurt! Andrew was very friendly when he greeted us at the gate and showed us around. We enjoyed exploring the reservoir and river area and spending time in the cozy, but spacious yurt. The bed was very comfortable, the lights were gorgeous and we loved the fire stove. We were nice and warm in the yurt listening to the rain and frogs.

We were very glad we showed up right before the sun went down. They are correct in saying it could be confusing to navigate. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Besides a little mud, the property is really outstanding, (And they can’t control the weather!) We loved the scenery, the privacy and being off grid for the night. LOVED IT! Thanks so much for adding to our adventure.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Bay Meadows

The land is beautiful and Tim is an incredible host! He went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed during our stay. We opted to camp through a major storm (don’t know for sure, but we received somewhere around 5 inches of rain in 48 hours while there. Our friends’ 5th wheel got stuck, but Tim and his boys were on it and didn’t quit until it was finally freed. I can’t think of anywhere else that could’ve happened and we wouldn’t have had to get outside help. We can’t wait to come back when the weather is better and fully enjoy this place, but we had one heck of an adventure and loved it.

Happy Bears Camp w/ View of Forest

Learn more about this land: Happy Bears Camp would really be suitable for those passing on I-5, who want a quiet place to park for the night. We are only one mile from I-5 (mile marker 80). Heading North on exit 80, there's a sharp 25 mph off-ramp on a downhill -Take it slow! There are lots of reservoirs, and a few rivers in the general area. The closest Reservoir is 12 miles away. Crater Lake is two hours away. The Pacific Ocean is 2 hours 15 minutes away. Closest river is less than a mile. You will cross it on the way here. There is lots of BLM land with dirt road access in the area. There is hunting in the area. The tiny town of Glendale is three miles away, (one route is safe for bicycles). There is a Grocery store, bank, laundry, three restaurants, two gas stations and a bakery. There are also two parks in town. One has a Frisbee golf course. Easy RV parking in town. On the way here, you will pass one of the restaurants and gas stations with a lot big enough to accommodate the largest RV. On the property: You may walk around. There aren't any trails and the undergrowth gets thick quickly under the trees. There is a fire break to walk, that circles the meadow. This will give you access to the trees. If you walk up the right side, our neighbor's dog will make a ruckus as you pass their house. Don't worry, just noise. At the top of the meadow, is a lovely view over this part of the valley.

We recommend getting to the island early enough in the day to look around and pick the best area. The whole island is open to Hipcamp for campers to pick the area that suits them. The porta pots are in the northwest corner of the high portion of the island. Bring a fishing pole or book and enjoy the roughness of the island inside the center of Roseburg.

Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Cornerstone Ranch

Cornerstone Ranch is a beautiful 500 acre property on the Rogue River, and bordering the Pacific Ocean. The ranch offers campsites, as well as a yurt. Horses are welcome, as well pets. From the South GPS is very accurate to our driveway. Coming from the North, GPS may drop you at "Marchmont Farm". Keep driving about another 1/8th mile until you see the large "Cornerstone Ranch" sign. That is our driveway. The large Yurt Tent about a 20 foot oval. It is part of the Cornerstone Ranch Hip Camp family of sites on the Ranch totaling 7. In a very quiet part of the campgrounds and having a picnic table under a large pine. We have added 2 twin memory foam mattresses and two camping mattresses in the Yurt along with a few other things to make your stay comfortable while still enjoying the Ranch, Coast and the Rogue River and all it has to offer. The ranch also offers 6 different campsites. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a toilet on site as well. Reviews from guests: "During the night we could hear Elk and the nearby nature! When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie the Host! She has tons of recommendations, but our favorite was the Indian creek cafe across the river. The areas so great and clean and the host cares about her guests! Would recommend!"

Fennel Flats - At The Orchard Hole

Grassy mowed area along the Sixes River on our cattle ranch and cranberry farm. We provide an outdoor shower and composting toilet shared by the 5 camp sites. The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests). Campsite Rules: 1. Enjoy. 2. No motorized vehicles besides your auto. 3. Make sure your fun doesn't detract from the fun had by other campers. 4. No illegal activity. 5. Clean up after your pet in the camp and river bank area or anywhere people will be walking or playing. 6. No unfriendly pets, even if they are on a leash. Must be safe with other children and pets and livestock.

11 Mile River Camp

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

I've lived in far-Northern CA and Southern Oregon my whole life, except for school/training, so State of Jefferson is my home. We bought this land in 2017, when it was just brush, poison oak, and a rotten bridge. Learn more about this land:Campsite on 72 acres along beautiful Jumpoff Joe Creek. Shaded, adjacent to romantically lighted timber-frame private covered bridge (no traffic). Very secluded, but only 1/2 mile from I-5 (no freeway noise, though). Private "beach" area and kid-friendly water play area with wild creatures (turkey, deer, fish, crayfish, water striders, turtles, frogs, etc.). Picnic table, tent spots, and fresh water spigot. Short hiking trails (watch out for poison oak!). Best for tenting, smaller RV's, tree tents, or rooftop tents. >100 yards from nearest structure. 3 nights max except by private arrangement. NO smoking/vaping/marijuana. NO wood fires, but propane fire-ring is available -- bring your own propane tank or pay $5 extra to use my propane tank if available. Good cell service from Google Fi/USCellular. WiFi available on porch of owner's house by request.

Suncatcher is a small food forest and homestead, located creek side in Southern Oregon. We are located 3 miles east of exit 88 on Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road. We are a food forest, Suncatcher Food Forest! We tend to an established fruit orchard, pasture, veggie gardens, a pond with ducks, and a small flock of egg laying hens. We are inspired by permaculture practices and are always working on turning the property into a food forest with an off-grid guesthouse and lots of fun natural building projects. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear. *LEAVE NO TRACE, just as you would when camping = please pack out your own trash* There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc. We provide plant based dish soap, hand soaps, and shampoo. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers. There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs. There is internet available on the picnic table by the main house front deck. Connect to the internet via ethernet. We have a usb-c converter, an Apple converter, and a usb drive to access the internet through ethernet. We make and sell refined sugar free fruit jam along with produce and sprouted and stoneground nut butters at local farmer's markets. All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, seasonal fruit jam, and sprouted nut butter. We are located just 4 miles down creek from the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence.

While visiting you will meet our horse Iggy. She loves to be admired and is very photogenic. She also loves to be pet and fed apples or carrots. Just a 1/4 mile up the road is our family owned and operated RV Park which give access to restrooms, showers, laundry room, wifi, ice, and propane. This spot has been our familys private paradise but we have decided its time to share this amazing spot with others so come enjoy privacy, beautiful views and the music of birds, the river running and trees rustling in the wind.
