Niagara Creek/Pheasant Creek falls is a nearby hiking trail and there are roads as well as deer and elk trails to explore all over the ranch. If you feel like venturing further, the beach is 23 miles away in Pacific City. We also offer pasture raised pork for sale. A variety of sausages (breakfast, chorizo, Italian, Bratwurst and French Garlic links) and pork chops.

Rules: - Check in time is strictly between 3-6pm. We are a working farm. We go to bed early and get up early. - No Pets (only canine companions allowed, this does not include emotional support animals) - We must have a credit card on file during your stay to cover any damages that may occur during your stay and to charge for guest fees in case your party has day visitors. - No fires except at communal fire pit - No Smoking on premises - Children must be attended by parents at all times - No firearms of any kind (this includes concealed carry permit weapons) - Do not feed the animals without our prior permission. - Pack out all items you pack in. We do not have garbage facilities. We rescue animals which are free range most of the time. Our horses are BIG and gentle. Our goats are very friendly, and have zero manners. Our horses and goats are prey animals so do not approach them. If the horses approach you they may let you pet them gently on the nose or might be curious and do not want to be touched. - DO NOT leave your children unattended with our animals at any time. We will not be held accountable for any accidents that may occur to you or your party during your stay here at Spirit’s Grove. Spirit’s Grove is on 40 acres of mostly natural forest. A few small streams run through the property, a Creek and 2 ponds, beaver dams, and a busy wildlife highways. A Firepit, Trails, Yurt, Tents, Bunkhouse, Camping Areas and Lodge. Hike around the trails on our 40 acres. Depending on the season you may see deer, elk, a variety of birds, rabbits, the elusive beavers, and more. There are seasonal mushrooms, wildflowers, herbs, a variety of trees, bushes, and plants. Sit, relax, watch the rescue animals, star gaze. DO NOT forage without prior approval! The front lawn and Firepit areas are open to the skies! Late summer, and fall, if the coastal winds are good, the skies are clear for shooting stars, satellites and even the Northern Lights in recent times. Bring a good lounge chair and blankets, and sit out after dark gazing at the stars and Milky Way. There are a couple taverns and restaurants within minutes of Spirit’s Grove, where you can enjoy good food and drinks. And there is a local grocery store about 7 miles from our location as well. The Lodge is available for Events or Retreats for separate fees. CHECK OUT our website for your Event needs. Guided walks are available, when weather permits and appointments are made 2 weeks in advance.

Green Crest Memorial Park

Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.

Dauenhauer Family Campground

This property is owned by Carl and Lores Dauenhauer and was initially operated as a multi-functional farm raising a thousand acres in various crops. In the early 1980's Carl and his children began planting grapes on the property and now the vineyard is the predominate feature for the farm. Most of the vineyard production is sold to wineries located across the state, however the family does retain a small amount of grapes each year for their private wine label "Hauer of the Dauen". You are welcome to stop by the farm for wine tasting on Saturday and Sunday's 12:00-5:00pm. The park and campground area is a recent addition to the farm and had been a vision of Carl's for quite some time. Carl usually goes for a walk through the vineyard in the during sunrise and sunset, weather permitting, and he loves to share his life-story with any campers who want to chat.

Riverside Camping

We have had a beautiful fall along the river and the central Oregon coast! We will be closing down the property the end of October to give the land a rest and the weather is not condusive to camping. Our area also has a potential to flood in the winter and we don't want to put any of our guests at risk. We do book up quickly in the spring and summer so we are taking reservations for 2025. The mornings are cool, calm and foggy but the fog burns off quickly. We are off the beach about 5 miles so we get warmer and don't have the winds that are on the coast. The winds do pick up in the afternoons but, die down for calm evenings. Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle from the highway and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). We have two campsites on our property but, to give our guests a more private experience we allow one group at a time. Our one designated site, closest to the river bank we call the Riverside Site. It can be reserved for up to 4 people. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. The Riverside Site has a rustic firepit and deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. When you make your reservation we require you to specify how many people are in your group. Children up to 15 yo are included in the 4 but, kids 16 yo and older will be additional campers in your group. We also need to know how you will be camping (tent, trailer, campervan, etc.). You are also required to let us know if you have a dog (or 2 or 3...). We have 2 dogs who love to meet and greet our guests and their pets so we need to know what to expect when you arrive. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. All areas in the apartment are cleaned and sterilized after each guest. We have a couple of wastebaskets that are for paper towels but, we also require all guest to pack out any garbage. At the expense of sounding like a jerk, we have learned a lot being camp hosts and have found there are some things that are just unacceptable. We do not have garbage service at the property and to be respectful to the next guests, keep the property as you found it. We are a "leave no trace" property so please take any garbage with you, please don't leave any greasy areas from cooking breakfast, etc. pick up all animal waste and please don't leave any chopped/splintered wood on site. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. Feel free to fish off the dock, swim, Kayak, SUP or just enjoy the evening on the dock. We have a family of 6 Otters that you can see in the early morning, munching on crawdads. Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds like Mergansers, Mallards, Canadian Geese. There are many species of song birds. You may hear a Bear of two making their way down to cross the river. There are deer across the river from our property and there is a huge herd of Elk at about the 3.5-4 mile marker. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process once you make a reservation: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message acknowledging we received your reservation. Then, a few days before your stay, we will send the physical address, directions to the property and on-site instructions for check in. Once you arrive at the property, there is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the camp sites. You will follow the instructions we give you depending on the size of your group or the size of your rig. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. We don't always have firewood available onsite so you might want to bring a bundle anyway. A little about the property and us: We found this property, that includes the bare land we use for our Hipcampers and our house, just by chance about 10 years ago. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river but, when we found this place, it was over run with tall grass and blackberries. It was a lot of hard work to get it to what it is today but, so worth it. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. This hidden gem is only 1/3 of a mile off the highway yet all you can hear is the flow of the water from Rock Creek which flows along the 2 acres. There is plenty of spots to toss your tent. Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). Enjoy the evenings around the fire pit. Complimentary 2 bundles of firewood, BBQ, table, chairs to use are available. Did you know the coolest porta-party in the galaxy awaits your visit? Attractions: Spirit Mountain Casino is only 4 miles away, The Oregon coast is a 25 minute drive as well as plenty of vineyards. Also enjoy 100+ miles of hiking trails. The trail head is only 1 mile from camp. I'm available to answer any questions you have and look forward to your visit. We ask if the ground is wet you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideaway. If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get quite a bit of barking from the dogs to the east. I just want to be honest and warn you. Those east dogs don't like other dogs for some reason.

We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland. Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers. Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty. ꕥ The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land we have been given so we do ask you to respect our process in this adjustment, as we miss our grandparents and parents who have worked their entire lives for us to be here. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.

Riverside Camping

We have had a beautiful fall along the river and the central Oregon coast! We will be closing down the property the end of October to give the land a rest and the weather is not condusive to camping. Our area also has a potential to flood in the winter and we don't want to put any of our guests at risk. We do book up quickly in the spring and summer so we are taking reservations for 2025. The mornings are cool, calm and foggy but the fog burns off quickly. We are off the beach about 5 miles so we get warmer and don't have the winds that are on the coast. The winds do pick up in the afternoons but, die down for calm evenings. Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle from the highway and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). We have two campsites on our property but, to give our guests a more private experience we allow one group at a time. Our one designated site, closest to the river bank we call the Riverside Site. It can be reserved for up to 4 people. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. The Riverside Site has a rustic firepit and deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. When you make your reservation we require you to specify how many people are in your group. Children up to 15 yo are included in the 4 but, kids 16 yo and older will be additional campers in your group. We also need to know how you will be camping (tent, trailer, campervan, etc.). You are also required to let us know if you have a dog (or 2 or 3...). We have 2 dogs who love to meet and greet our guests and their pets so we need to know what to expect when you arrive. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. All areas in the apartment are cleaned and sterilized after each guest. We have a couple of wastebaskets that are for paper towels but, we also require all guest to pack out any garbage. At the expense of sounding like a jerk, we have learned a lot being camp hosts and have found there are some things that are just unacceptable. We do not have garbage service at the property and to be respectful to the next guests, keep the property as you found it. We are a "leave no trace" property so please take any garbage with you, please don't leave any greasy areas from cooking breakfast, etc. pick up all animal waste and please don't leave any chopped/splintered wood on site. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. Feel free to fish off the dock, swim, Kayak, SUP or just enjoy the evening on the dock. We have a family of 6 Otters that you can see in the early morning, munching on crawdads. Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds like Mergansers, Mallards, Canadian Geese. There are many species of song birds. You may hear a Bear of two making their way down to cross the river. There are deer across the river from our property and there is a huge herd of Elk at about the 3.5-4 mile marker. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process once you make a reservation: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message acknowledging we received your reservation. Then, a few days before your stay, we will send the physical address, directions to the property and on-site instructions for check in. Once you arrive at the property, there is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the camp sites. You will follow the instructions we give you depending on the size of your group or the size of your rig. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. We don't always have firewood available onsite so you might want to bring a bundle anyway. A little about the property and us: We found this property, that includes the bare land we use for our Hipcampers and our house, just by chance about 10 years ago. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river but, when we found this place, it was over run with tall grass and blackberries. It was a lot of hard work to get it to what it is today but, so worth it. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. You are welcome to stop by the farm for wine tasting on Saturday and Sunday's 12:00-5:00pm. The park and campground area is a recent addition to the farm and had been a vision of Carl's for quite some time. Carl usually goes for a walk through the vineyard in the during sunrise and sunset, weather permitting, and he loves to share his life-story with any campers who want to chat.

We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Badminton and cornhole available on request. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome! We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them. Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer. We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots. We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of. During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like. Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty. ꕥ The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. We ask if the ground is wet you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideaway. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get quite a bit of barking from the dogs to the east. I just want to be honest and warn you. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of. During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like. Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. Please, only book if you have an RV with working plumbing. **We will not accept tent campers** Please feel free to ask me any questions, we are willing to make accommodations for special situations/events if possible!

Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.
