Dauenhauer Family Campground

This property is owned by Carl and Lores Dauenhauer and was initially operated as a multi-functional farm raising a thousand acres in various crops. In the early 1980's Carl and his children began planting grapes on the property and now the vineyard is the predominate feature for the farm. Most of the vineyard production is sold to wineries located across the state, however the family does retain a small amount of grapes each year for their private wine label "Hauer of the Dauen". You are welcome to stop by the farm for wine tasting on Saturday and Sunday's 12:00-5:00pm. The park and campground area is a recent addition to the farm and had been a vision of Carl's for quite some time. Carl usually goes for a walk through the vineyard in the during sunrise and sunset, weather permitting, and he loves to share his life-story with any campers who want to chat.

Croakers Crossing Farm

Croakers Crossing Farm, 68 acres farmed using regenerative agriculture practices, is surrounded by the Tualatin River and just 30 min from downtown Portland and 30 min to Oregon wine country. Within 10 min drive of the nearest coffee shop and brew pub, this location gives you the best of both worlds, peaceful tranquility and the ability to pop out for a nice meal and a wine tour all in the same day. Learn more about this land:Set up your tent either at the edge of the steep banks of the Tualatin River or on the high point of Croakers Crossing Farm with views of the Willamette Valley farm lands. We are within 30 minutes of Oregon wine country and 30 min to downtown Portland. The best of both worlds. Quiet farm beauty with the sounds of our farm animals and the adjacent Tualatin Valley Bird Refuge bird life at your tent door.  This is a pack it in, pack it out site, there are no facilities, no bathroom unfortunately.

Elk Moon Yurt

Elk Moon is a single yurt perched in a open clearing above the forest. Overlooking Mt Hood, Mt St Helens, Mt Adams and on the clearest days-Mt Jefferson. It’s a lovely open space where we’ve been joined by deer, elk, bald eagles, osprey and more. There’s an intimate relationship with the clouds here-sometimes wrapped in them, sometimes sitting on top of them-but everyday is dramatic and stunningly beautiful.Learn more about this land:Relax and rejuvenate your senses in a comfy, cozy and spacious 20 foot off-grid yurt. Wake up to the sunrise out your window and the site of Mount Hood and three other mountains on a clear day. Fall asleep to the site of the rising moon and the stars, enjoy the sounds of wildlife mixed with interesting sounds from the farm. Even the clouds feel dynamic and special here.This space has everything you need to enjoy time away from the city. Elk Moon has a secluded feel in a meadow at the top of a mountain surrounded by forest, but w/ neighbors not terribly far away. Enjoy coffee and meals inside on a basic two-burner camp stove or drive a short distance to town. A charming and clean composting toilet is located a few yards from the yurt. It is always cleaned in between campers. With hiking right outside your doorsteps and fantastic mountain views, Elk Moon is ideal for nature lovers. 

My get-up for the weekend. Camper van + Yurt = the most comfortable camping there ever was.

There are endless ways to unwind: My preferred method reading John Muir books. 

The bed is extremely comfortable, with solar lights above to read at night. Plenty of blanks provided should you get a little chilly.

We are a working black angus cattle ranch in the Willamette Valley.

Our neighbors include wineries, vineyards and commercial farms. We've been at the property for 22 years and would love to share it with you!

The bunkhouse in nestled in the middle of a 115 acre pasture, surrounded by timber. As a "working" ranch, you will be sharing this space with the herd. They may be curious about you, but will not bother you.

Garden & Galaxy PDX Urban Retreat

Our Garden & Galaxy Retreat in Portland, OR is a stunner. It is built with salvaged materials from nearby painted lady Victorian home that are the pillars at the entrance and the siding is from a nearby barn. The sliding door as you enter is a salvaged US Federal Building Door that glides on barn rails and it has the original mail slot in the door. The retreat is an indoor/outdoor experience as there are two walls that feature beveled shutters that open and the roof is a see through experience to watch the birds, wildlife and stars. The queen bed is  super comfortable and there is a small desk filled with maps of nearby places to play. There is a small cabinet outfitted with slippers to slip on and take the path to the garden pergola - the swinging twin bed or the main house. Follow us at @gardengalaxypdx
My home for the last 34 years; I have put care, love and abundance in creating a magical garden with surprises throughout. My desire to provide charm and delight has driven most of the details that also includes a pergola that has a swinging twin bed and chairs to gather and chat. There is gorgeous outdoor lighting for at night and hanging chandelier at night surrounded in the deep of summer with mature jasmine bushes that waft their sweet scent from May into September.

There is an outdoor fridge in the garden for your use and we provide beverages and creamer for coffee or tea provided in the room for your enjoyment. 
There is a fan provided in summer and a heater provided in the Spring and Fall for the room evenings can be a bit crisp so you can customize your temperature to your comfort level.
