Experience Heaven

11 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents157 acres · La Pine, OR
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers. The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to October 15 and the Gers are all 12 months. Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. This being the 4th year, things have gotten a little out of hand. So let's regergitate some things and make sure everyone understands how it is. If you aren't capable of practicing the 5 P's, then you need to book somewhere else. Proper Preperation Prevents Poor Performance. If you can't get here and have your camp set up by 8:00PM, showing respect to the other Hipcampers that are already set up and enjoying the PEACE AND QUIET, then you need to book somewhere else or don't come until the following morning. No driving down to the campsites/the lake after 8::00PM. Period. Communicate with me. If you leave Portland at 5:00 PM with the intention of spending the night in Heaven then you need to alter your plans. No more than 4 adults at each campsite. I am almost to the point of saying no BIG DOGS. If you got big dogs, my suggestion is you go book someplace else. Talk to me. It is a given they willl need to be on a tethered throughout your time in Heaven. Take them for walks along the lake, not having them run thru everyone elses camp sites. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no yippers, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. You need to listen to music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. The chipmunks, the squirrels, all the different birds, the eagles, the osprey, the fish jumping, the deer roaming, the timber martins running thru the trees, the snowshoe rabbits and the occasional black bear. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”. So, while you are here, take a deep breath, close your eyes at the appropriate moment and ask yourself, am I on the right path? Is what I am doing fulfilling me? Am I showing my family and friends how much I love them? Do I really need all that crap I got? Where do I go from here? My intention was for each one you to not just go camping, or to stay in a Mongolian Ger but to have an “Experience” that just might lead you to a more fulfilling and happier life.

There are forests and wildlife to explore on the property and access to nearby attractions like the Applegate River, Applegate Lake, Crater Lake, Cascade Siskiyou NM, Oregon Caves, Shakespeare Festival, etc. This place is truly unique and tranquil! - The yurt has three spaces- the main yurt space, the kitchen, and the bathroom. All areas have doors separating the spaces. We have electricity throughout with heating - Our main water supply is a well which is safe to drink - The bathroom has low flow flushing toilet with composting tank beneath structure and graywater system for shower, etc. Please don't flush anything but toilet paper. We provide biodegradable soap/shampoo/cleaning supplies, please use these or similar natural cleaning products when possible - We have designated spaces, next to and below, the yurt to spend time outside but feel free to explore on the property! - We have wifi available (Starlink) which is mostly reliable and consistent although occasionally it goes out for a short period of time in the evenings. Cell service can be somewhat limited, depending on your carrier. We recommend turning on wifi calling when in the yurt to help increase cell service - Jacksonville is the closest larger town (approx. 20 min drive) which has shopping, a grocery store, post office, eateries, etc. but if you need to grab something in a pinch, there is a small grocery store, hardware store, and a drive through coffee shop in Ruch (approx. 5 mins drive) from yurt. We are located approx. 30 mins from larger stores like Costco, Trader Joes, Fred Meyer, Target, etc. in Medford Animals: We allow up to 2 dogs - Dogs should be kept on leash at all times, there are many wild animals that call the property home! Our property gets frequented by deer, turkeys, lots of squirrels, and skunks. - Dog bowls, towels + blankets, and waste bags for animals are available in the yurt- please use them during your stay - We love animals and want to keep our space pet friendly. While we do not charge a pet fee, we ask that you help minimize wear and tear on our space by keeping animals off of the furniture, ensure animals don't scratch floors and furniture, and clean up excessive hair/dirt before leaving.

Sattva Lake Camp

32 sites · Lodging18 acres · Cottage Grove, OR
We became Land Guardians of this beautiful property in 2020. We are yogis and naturally enjoy nature. We hope to share this sacred land with as many as we possibly can through hip camp. Our goals and dreams include having a biodynamic farm and Yoga/self-development retreats and maybe some fun festivals with music and dancing. Prior to us this was a sheep farm. The home and barn was started in the 60's. Learn more about this land: A sweet bohemian yurt styled getaway with a cozy fireplace. This yurt is well insulated and super cozy. Enjoy some tea while you watch the sunset over the Southern Mountain range. Cozy up to the fire in the winter months with a good book or the one you love. Walk across London Rd and you are able access lake beach front and miles of walking, jogging or biking in both directions. Bring kayakes, boats, canoes, and bikes if you have them. ~Land owners also teach Kundalini and Vinyasa yoga as well as meditation. happily provide a one on one session if they are not traveling. Chrystal is also an LMT/Bowen therapist and is able to give massage and healing sessions as well as sound healing. We also have a barrel sauna and Hot tub near front of house that can be added to your stay. Inquire for pricing and availability if interested.
