GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6). Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Your experience will certainly be unique to the season. Your host Jim Toler represents the fifth generation of the farm and will happily share stories of the farm and it's history. GeerCrest Farm is truly an off-the-beaten-path gem.

Our Bend Ranchette is located just outside the city limits of Bend, OR. Downtown Bend is about five miles away. Come, stay, camp, play! Parking: the gravel driveway is west of our main driveway and marked with an orange cone. Once you park at the end of the driveway you will see the Shedteau straight ahead. Feel free to check out our property. We always like to recommend happy hour at the pond! This property is our primary residence and we are usually around but will respect your privacy! Friendly Hosts who greeted me even when I arrived a little late. Bathrooms were clean and showers were warm. Cabin 1 could hold 4 though I came solo. Heater in the cabin kept the place warm. It was nice having a roof over my head given it was storming outside.

The hosts were absolutely amazing—super kind, responsive, and accommodating! An actual room to lay your head if passing through for a night. Has those camp-y vibes going overall (e.g., bathroom outside, no kitchen, minimal light enclosure/window privacy) but you've got a super comfy bed, in a spacious room, removed from the elements (w/ heat unit in cold months). Rare find for that middle-ground—a nice spot to come back to after daily outings to surrounding areas!

My husband and I loved staying at Trent's cabin! We were looking for a quiet, romantic getaway where we could take long walks in the woods and relax in a comfortable cabin at night. Such a beautiful spot! The shed was surprisingly cute, cozy, and romantic! The yard was huge and seeing the ducks was such a pleasure. We love being to bring our pups as well. The shed was super comfortable all around and we found the bed to be comfortable too. Nick was super responsive when we couldn’t figure out how to turn the sink on. The composting toilet was super easy and clean!

GeerCrest Farm is a little slice of heaven! We rented the bunkhouse for our daughter’s birthday and the girls had the best time exploring the property. So many fun things to do and lovely spots to enjoy. The hosts were very gracious and helpful - setting up badminton for the kids to play, and loaning us a camp stove so we could heat up some soup. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at the farm. The animals were super friendly, and the hosts were there for whatever we needed. The cabin that we stayed in was really clean and cozy. We enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit and playing cards on the back patio. The only suggestion I can make is to have a lower wattage lightbulb in the cabin. Thank you so much for having us. We had an amazing time. I would recommend these cabins to anyone who wants a wonderful farm experience.

100% recommend staying here! The location is nice. Plenty of activities around, but also the perfect place to just stay in. The property is gorgeous and they thought of everything! It’s so secluded and cozy, the hosts are amazing and made sure we had everything we needed and more. You get far more than just a place to stay, you get a whole experience. My kids, my friend and her two kids stayed in the Bunkhouse. It was incredibly clean from top to bottom! The kids felt like they were in a fairy land. Beautiful woods all around the cabin, cute details and they loved visiting the ducks and sheep on the property. Jim was a kind host and very helpful! Made the whole trip smooth and fun! Would 10/10 recommend!
