We loved the hot tub so much that Cliff prepared for us during our 2 nights stay. I would recommended to bring extra bedding if you plan to stay there in November, it get pretty cold in yurt.

Incredible and unique space in a supremely beautiful place. I had an amazing time staying in the barn for two nights. Very comfortable, spacious, and solid building! Complete gem of a place. Mike and co were so welcoming and I couldn’t have been more comfortable there. Thanks for the experience and hope to be back! Best Hipcamp experience I’ve had, probably that’s around. 🍻

Mike’s Barn was exactly as advertised! A perfect and beautiful place to relax and listen to music (great record collection) and cook on an open fire right outside the barn. Great to have the freezer and working lights and bed and couches and the outhouse was pretty good for an outhouse and not that far even in the dark. The water from the spigot at the house is as delicious as described! Mike is an excellent host and great communicator. Would love to come back in winter!

Weekend Trip to Vintage camper, waterfront &firepit
We loved Patricia’s little camp. It was so cozy and welcoming. It was exactly what we were looking for. She knew it was our anniversary and upon arrival we walked in to candles lit scattered hearts and a cute heart pillow on the bed. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were well stocked with xtra blankets if needed. The lake view was peaceful and beautiful. Well stocked with firewood also. Patricia call the morning after we checked in to make sure we settled in ok and she was so sweet. We never had to call her throughout our 3 night stay. We definitely will return

Such a wonderful location. Remote, but 20 min from Norway, Maine- a great little town with all you need. Smooth arrival! Do either screenshot the hippcamp map instructions or download for offline use as internet is spotty in rural Maine.
The approaching road is bumpy, my Subaru was fine. They have an AWD shuttle and kindly offered it.
The land is lovely, quiet.

Our experience was excellent staying in the Yurt. It was easy access from our vehicle. This site was magnificent and completely private in a beautiful location. The air was extremely fresh. The yurt had lots of space to move around for my family of four. We loved meeting the dogs. Donna was excellent to communicate with and very helpful. I wish we had stayed more than one night. I would certainly recommend camping on Donna’s property🙂

Weekend Trip to Earth Paradise Eco-Retreat
I highly recommend staying on Donanne's land in one of her yurts! It was the perfect off-the-grid getaway from the city I was seeking. Donanne is a lovely host who recommended an idyllic nearby pond for swimming, picked fresh snap peas for me to take home, and let me play with her pack of adorable dogs. I appreciated the comfort of the yurt combined with a true camping experience, complete with everything I needed for my stay. I'm looking forward to my next opportunity to visit!

2 nights at Yurty Expectations Conga Camp Maine
We stayed at the yurt and found it comfortable and enjoyable. It's essentially a very large tent, but it stayed cool with no humidity, and the ventilation was great. The host was very helpful and made the check-in process easy.
If you're looking for a very quiet experience, you might want to check whether the nearby units are occupied, as that can affect the level of noise.
Our shower wasn’t working, so we had to use the shower in another unit. Despite that, it was a good overall experience. It's definitely worth visiting Long Pong for a swim, just be sure to bring water shoes.

It’s a great experience! Cliff is so knowledgeable about setting up camp fires, mountain biking, kayaking, and he is a great local guide. Yurt is cozy with the firewood heat. We cooked with a fire pit. The hot tub is awesome! Upon arrival, host greeted us with homegrew strawberries and well water. Host designed the entire cabin and facilities around it. It is nice to hear about his life time stories. Very impressive.

Where to go
Acadia National Park, Maine
Majestic trees meet Atlantic waters in Acadia National Park, a family-friendly nature getaway for campers of all stripes. From Hull’s Cove Visitor Center, you can take the park’s scenic drive to Sand Beach for a swim. Hikers can then enjoy the trek to Otter Point, which provides stunning views of the coastline, or take the Cadillac Mountain Loop hike. In addition to hiking trails, the park has numerous campsites and campgrounds available.
Cape Cod, Massachusetts
A great place for quiet beach camping, Cape Cod has options with rv sites, cabins, family camping and everything in between. Far from the bustle of Boston, you can find bike and kayak rentals along the cape, with some good options in Provincetown. Cape Cod National Seashore is a haven for adventure and play, and there are a few state parks with pristine beaches, including South Cape Beach State Park and Scusset Beach State Reservation.
Green Mountain National Forest, Vermont
Vermont’s Green Mountains are the perfect place to adventure any time of year, but in the warmer months, you can enjoy full service family campgrounds as well as tent sites. Granville State Forest has biking trails, while Savoy Mountain State Park has multiple camping spots and a lake for canoeing. The Appalachian Trail also stretches through a section of the Green Mountains, intersecting with Long Trail, if you’re feeling extra adventurous.
When to go
New England’s winter’s are famously harsh, so you’ll want to keep tent camping between May and October. Note that crowds will die down significantly once kids go back to school in early September, so keep in mind that you may have a better time (and a peek at some changing leaves) if you choose to camp in early fall.
