Welcome to Howler--the Midwest's Premier Mountain Bike Park! Hospitality means everything to us and we would be honored to have you as a guest on our downhill trails or a guest to the Ozark Mountains looking for a great place to stay--or both! We think we've got some surprises in store for you when you get here. You'll find us located just off Highway 65 in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We're seven minutes from Branson, one of the busiest tourist destinations in the Midwest, but take the five-minute ride or walk down to Base Camp and you'll feel miles away from it all. Howler is imagined, designed, and maintained by riders who love our unique terrain and wanted to pull the best from it. Our trails are built with all skill levels in mind with a clear goal of rider progression. But Howler Bike Park Stays isn't just for riders! We've got all kinds of things to do for riders and non-riders alike! Start your day in Base Camp, the hub of activity at Howler. If you need a caffeine kick to get you started, we've got you covered with a specialty coffee drink, blended, or smoothie at Howler Coffee Shop! And, Chef Dustin is now serving breakfast with three delicious options to power you up for your day! Around noon and throughout the day, you can enjoy Chef's insanely-delicious food at the Growl Grill. Stop in the Welcome Center for bike passes, Howler merch, and bike gear. Are you shredding with us and need a new tube or tire change? We have got you taken care of in Howler Bike Co. next to the Welcome Center. We have beer and wine available at the Growl Grill, and you’re welcome to take your purchases to your tent to enjoy! New in Spring 2023, is our Skills Park and our Children's Play Area-complete with a mini pump track for Stryders or small bikes--and a beautiful cedar swing set! We also have a mile round trip Hiking Trail through the woods where you can see glimpses of riders shredding the mountain trails. Feel like a break at the top of the hike? We've got a picnic table so you can enjoy the scenery and eat some mouth-watering food from the Growl Grill! We also have our all-new bathrooms and showers, complete with shampoo/body wash and hair dryers. And you can keep all your necessary items near you while you ride with our all-new lockers. They're free and you only need to enter a four-digit code of your choosing to use them.

Warriors o' Rainbow Horse Sanctuary

3 sites · RVs, Tents16 acres · Reeds, MO
The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away. This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.) We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.   We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).   Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

Lakefront- 16 Miles from Branson!

2 sites · RVs, Tents8 acres · Forsyth, MO
Edgewater Beach Resort is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. There are 2 RV sites at Edgewater that are located just a few feet from the water's edge. Lake Taneycomo is a cold- water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The resort has 3 docks that you can fish off of. You can also fish anywhere along the water's edge. Each RV site has water, sewer, and electric hookups, wifi, a private picnic table, and a private firepit/ grill. The sites are separated by a privacy fence for the utmost privacy. The resort has boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend, a playground, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for $20 a night. The resort is next to Empire Park which has lots of fishing spots, a playground, a disc golf course, and walking trails. The resort is 16 miles from The Branson Landing. You can get there by car or boat. Ask me about adding a boat slip to your reservation or about getting a discount for a long-term stay. I offer a 25% discount for stays of a month or more. Here is the link for boat rentals at the resort: https://www.boatsetter.com/users/wjplgnl *Lake Taneycomo will look different based on the seasons, weather, and the flow of water in the lake. It is common to see a large amount of duckweed in the lake, especially in the coves, during periods of high heat. It isn't attractive, but it is harmless. The maintenance crew at the resort constantly works to keep the coves looking as nice as possible, but it is a natural body of water, so there's only so much that can be done.*

Whimsical Treehouse In The Woods

1 site · Lodging48 acres · Branson, MO
Experience true seclusion and tranquility on a whole new level! Breathtaking custom built treehouse perfect for a romantic getaway or family retreat. Enjoy morning hikes through the 48 acre property and take the 1/4 mile trip to visit the wet weather creek and year round pond. You’ll find a variety of wildlife in our forest- deer, squirrels, owls, turkey and many more. Only 7 miles to the Branson Landing or Silver Dollar City. Follow our socials @TreeHuggerHideaway for new dates, prices drops and giveaways! The loft bedroom space has a plush king sized bed and a full bathroom with a walk in shower. Our reading nook is the perfect spot to settle in and finish your favorite novel or watch nature from the treeline. We have a unique luggage lift to ‘carry’ anything from your bags to your morning coffee so you have free hands for the handrails. Small children should never be left unsupervised in the loft. We do have a locking gate at the top of the stairs to the loft for extra safety. The main floor living room features a pull out couch and a recliner. There is a half bath adjacent to the kitchen. The dining table has an impeccable view to the outside and is the perfect size for cards or board games, which can be found in the TV console. Both floors have Smart TVs with complimentary YouTube TV and free Wifi for you to enjoy. You can connect to your Netflix, Hulu, etc to binge your favorites. The full kitchen has everything you should need for cooking, including pots and pans, a mixer, slow cooker, utensils, etc., as well as a coffeemaker with complimentary coffee. If you need anything please reach out! Items to note: If you're here while leaves are in bloom, please remember you'll need bug spray and sunscreen, which we keep available under the sink in the half bathroom downstairs. There are ticks, chiggers, ants, all the insects and animals nature intended. Our family always checks for ticks and showers after an adventure in the woods. The gravel driveway is a bit steep for those who are not used to the Ozark Mountains. Unfortunately, you have to ‘go through it to get to it’ in order experience true privacy. Cars can make it without issues, just use caution. As you come in, drive slowly down hill. Trailers are not allowed in the parking area by the treehouse as it is not spacious enough. We have additional parking at the top at our home for boats, trailers or other vehicles. Just ask! There is a recording camera at the brown gate near the entrance to the property. No pets are allowed. No smoking allowed.

I-44 Rte 66 Bennett Springs Farm

20 sites · RVs, Tents10 acres · Phillipsburg, MO
Great for dry camping OR parking near the home for water (with hose) and electrical (with extension cord connected to 15-amp standard household outlet - you need adapter). Functional farm for animal lovers - goats, sheep, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl, chickens (Animals vary by time of year). Pond has fish. Short drive to Lebanon (all amenities), Bennett Spring State Park, and Springfield. 1.5 hours to Branson, Table Rock Lake, and other state parks. Fresh eggs included with advance request (Max 8 subject to availability) Vehicles + trailers (combined) greater than 30 feet not recommended when grounds are wet. May be difficult to turn around. Comments: 1) We have many projects in progress in the front of the property, but the back is mostly clear. 2) We strongly recommend repellent for ticks, chiggers, spiders, mosquitos, and flies. 3) The Cicada season is starting (May 2024). We recommend earplugs if that sound bothers you. 4) When it rains, the dirt roads leading to the back of the property get muddy and hard to drive. If you aren't driving a 4x4, park near the house on the gravel driveway.
