Weekend Trip to Great Magnolia

Great place to stay. Safe and secure. Gated, well-maintained, beautiful property. Felt very safe. Stay was the peaceful respite that I needed after a long day of driving. Ron, the caretaker, was a wonderful, welcoming host. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if traveling through the area.

Weekend Trip to BLACK RIVER CAMPSITE MISSISSIPPI

Nice and quiet. Scott was a gracious host, should us every thing and helped us park. The campground is very close to the Vicksburg National Park. Was easy to get there and back. The campground has plenty of space for all size campers but big Class A’s and 5th wheels will need to careful on the approach road as it is dirt and has some washout areas.

Perfect spot by the creek! Fire pit was amazing and the sounds of the birds was very peaceful.

Jon was a great host. His place was very nice secluded right on the river, it was just what I was looking for. He even had power with an extension cord to top off my power station. There was a nice level spot to park my van. I arrived after a heavy rain storm so the road took a little finesse to get back to the campsite. But it was ok for me. I will return hopefully to stay longer.

Scott was a great host! We booked super last minute and he helped us get situated and build a fire, even gathering extra wood for us. The land was really nice and overall a great experience. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Leatherneck On Big Black River

The campground was very spacious, and I thought it neat that he had an outdoor camp kitchen set up complete with dishes. It was quiet, and the electricity worked great. Just FYI, the narrow, winding road getting in can be rough. And when it rains, there are large mud puddles, some of which reach across the road. Even after rain, these puddles are not soggy, and the ground is very solid. A two-wheel drive vehicle can manage the road. We stayed there twice about a week apart. Would highly recommend.

I loved tent camping on Mark’s land! It was absolutely gorgeous and he was so hospitable and welcoming. It was a much needed time away. Would definitely recommend!!

Old growth shaded and well maintained land on Big Black river. 4 RV sites 8 primitive sites. 110 Power and water available. Generator's are fine as well. Best catfishing in the state. No fishing license is required. Just start fishing. Borders Big Black civil war battlefield. Pets are family and always welcome. Off leash is fantastic as long as your good with it. Lots of room to run. Jon boats with motors, Kayaks and ATV's always ok. Large stretches of sand bars when water permits. Not far from I-20. Great cell reception. Good restaurant down the road in Bovina. Loves truck stop just down the road. The existing road going in "Vickors Rd" can be bumpy, dusty, wet and may hold pools of water at times but the road itself is solid and will support the heaviest of vehicles.

77 acres of rolling hills along the headwaters of Haley's Creek with a 1 m waterfall into a 4-ft deep pool and beautiful hardwood and pine forest all around. A Rustic road courses along with the creek and several offshoots for mountain biking or hiking. The waterfall and pool are a 1/2 mile hike into the property on the primitive road. Gravel is only provided at the entrance area, encircling the metal shed. Any driving off the gravel runs a risk of getting stuck in the slippery clay/mud. Rainwater barrels and 110 electricity are available at the metal shed. See dozens of tree species old and young along the creek and wildlife including turkeys, deer, bobcat, raccoons, possums, hawks, rabbits etc.
