Nestled in the woods overlooking a pond and surrounded by an organic vineyard/farm. Short walk to organic winery, 5 minute drive to quaint town of Northport, 15 minutes to Leland and Fishtown, and 20 minutes to Sutton’s Bay. The tiny house sleeps 2 on a queen sized bed in loft and another 2 on a futon on main floor. All linens are included. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator/freezer, 2 burner hot plate, electric skillet, and coffee maker. There is water in the tiny house, but there is not a toilet or shower inside. A portable restroom is located right outside.

It has a king size bed (twin beds set up available in extras), small refrigerator, two fans (no air conditioning), microwave, toaster, and electric tea kettle. The outdoor private space next to the cabin includes a table and chairs, propane grill,  and a spacious campfire area. The rustic out-building has hot and cold water for the shower, double stainless sink and a counter to prepare meals on. The kitchen is appointed with two stainless steel pots, large cast iron frying pan, colander,  cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, can opener, and metal hot dog/marshmallow skewers for campfire. 26 acres of forest, wetlands, pasture, creeks, and a pond. We are a working farm: raising goats, and chickens. We live on site. We are also a County destination as a Petting Farm by appointment; providing personalized and private tours of our farm. Home to dogs, cats, miniature pigs, miniature horse and donkey, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, goats, rabbits, a small cow, and guinea pigs, & more The camp site is tucked in off the main road nearly 300 feet but accessed from our driveway. It is a 45 x 15' gravel pad behind a row of trees that runs parallel to the drive. If you park facing west your doors will be facing an old growth forest in which lies a beautiful sandy bottom creek that flows in to Lake Leelanau. We provide an off-the-ground fire pit. Wood is available for purchase at the roadside stand. When the chickens are laying we have fresh eggs available as well for sale. Potable water is available at the barn. We do provide a porta potty at the barn, as well as, filtered well water at the barn. Wineries, water, and distilleries abound in every direction. Many are within walking and biking distance. The farm is walking distance to Lake Leelanau and Schneider township park. Walking/hiking trails are available throughout the property and nearby areas. Provemont Pond which lies across M-204 is a lovely natural area with many trails. Shopping or rock hunting in historic Fishtown, aka, Leland is 6 minutes by car, a bit longer by bike. We are just minutes to several Lake Michigan beaches, Suttons Bay and Northport. Drive 25 minutes to Traverse City to the Southeast or 33 minutes Southwest to Sleeping Bear Dune climb and the quaint village of Empire. Lots to enjoy for the foodies as well. Aside from the many wineries and distilleries, you can find Nittollos italian fare and stone fired pizza. Dicks Pour House where all the locals go, and Fiddleheads which features many local farm foods in their pop-up weekend menus. In Leland you can dine at The Cove, or Leland Lodge. For quick bites try The Sandwich Shoppe and Carlsons smoked fish during the late spring/summer/early fall times. Fischers Happy Hour on hour way to Northport has the best broasted chicken around. And the VI Grille in Suttons Bay has enough delicious appetizers you could make a meal.

Mesick is also the mushroom hunting capital and we have found lots of Morels on our 10 acres and in the surrounding state land. The home boasts 3 bedrooms and a full finished basement. Sleeping arrangements include 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 full beds, and 1 twin bed. Extra guests are welcome to bring their own air mattresses and linens at an extra charge per guest.

The camp spot is near one of our pastures that could have horses or cows. Walk in tent camping site could also be arranged. By appt we could do a farm tour with your group. We have horses, cows, fainting goats, peacocks, ducks and chickens! Power and water may be available in the future.

Weekend Trip to CK Ranch Camp

Had a long weekend and some new gear to try out, so we decided to look to the north for a campsite. Everything was booked, not to mention packed full of people. Then my brother told me about Hipcamp, and everything changed.. We found Clinton's Ranch site and it checked all the boxes: close to where my parents were staying, dog friendly, and isolated (one campsite only). Clinton was super cool and easy to deal with. He pretty much told us we could do whatever we wanted there and walked me back to check out the site, a nice mowed area tucked back in the woods. We spent 2 nights in perfect weather, not far from modern conveniences, which is good because there are no toilets on site (not even an issue at the price per night). Just bring a bucket toilet or something similar and pack in all of your water and you are set. It was paradise for 2 days. I would DEFinitely recommend this site and I will definitely be back someday.

This site had the cleanest porta potty we have ever been in. The animals were the sweetest and friendliest we’d ever encountered on a farm! The walk to the bathroom and water area was a beautiful hike over a clear stream. The night sky was amazing. Like the pictures show it is very close to the neighbors, but the site is flat and perfect for tent camping. Would highly recommend this site and we had such an amazing experience in the surrounding areas. It’s location made it extremely easy to access all of the spots on our list like sleeping bear, fish town, leelanau state park and so many other places.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bunkhouse Among the Pines! Christine's cabin was a perfect place to rest after exploring the Traverse City area. The outhouse was clean and the outdoor shower was hot. We were very comfortable and enjoyed watching fireflies in the evening and birds in the morning. On our trip we went blueberry picking, cherry picking and hiking at Sleeping Bear Dunes. The location was perfect. Thank you Christine for being a wonderful host!

We had a ton of fun being so close to Leland and Lake Leelanau. The campsite we were on had a privacy wall between our site and the neighbor so there was privacy. Or you could go across the little creek and set up in the trees. We chose to do that, which also gave us the pleasure of listening to the creek the whole night. It was really peaceful and quiet. Linda and Steve were super friendly and helpful and even had firewood out for sale at the road to make life easier for us. Had a great trip- would definitely recommend!

JC’s Oasis was the perfect home base stop on our RV trip around Lake Michigan. We arrived late our first night, and Linda was incredibly welcoming—she helped us get settled and even gave our daughter a special tour of the barn as the animals were “getting ready for bed”. The port-a-potty and pump sink were super clean and worked great. Loved running the on-site trails, and the lake just down the road was perfect for a quick dip & rinse-off. The location couldn’t have been better for getting out and experiencing all there is to do in the area—easy access to Leland, Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, kayaking, and beautiful beaches. Would absolutely stay again!

Weekend Trip to Bunkhouse in the Pines

My family absolutely loved staying in the little cabin. Lots of room and the necessities are already provided, including warm running water. Christine was an excellent host, offering us an extra night after missing the first from car troubles during travel. Very grateful for her kindness and flexibility, as we had a hard time finding the correct spot for putting up the tent after a long few days of travel. She was more concerned about the slant than the fact we were in the wrong spot. Hoping to return in the future!

Everything about Christine's place was exactly how it was stated. And she was so helpful with anything we might need. We ended up having to leave a day early but it wasn't due to Christine. We didn't know we had planned our trip on one of the hottest weekends in that area in years. Crazy hot. But we'd like to come back when its a little cooler! Thank you Christine!

Location is excellent. Is a 10 or 15 minute drive from everything we wanted to do. Camping spot itself is clearly more geared for camper/rv but was no issue with a tent. A lot of road noise throughout the day and night but is expected being so close to a main road. The farm they have going is adorable with plenty of animals to meet at the barn. Fresh eggs were delicious
