With JetBlue daily flights into Presque Isle, you can leave Boston and be sitting by the wood stove at the Bombadil cabin in less than 2 hours. 

We have over 5 miles of walking, snowshoeing, and ungroomed skiing trails. A map will be provided of the trails and property.

The 200+ acres is surrounded by thousands of acres of undeveloped forest. Abundant wildlife roam these acres, including moose, bears, deer, coyotes, voles, birds, foxes,  rabbits, etc. It’s not uncommon to see any of these while exploring our trails.

The Riverbend Cabin! Our sweet, off grid piece of heaven!

Riverbend Cabin and Sauna

David purchased the property from his parents and built the log cabin, sauna and privy with good friends who also constructed the Rope Bridge. Linda came along in 2000 and moved in with her dog. David was just finishing up a bedroom addition to the cabin, just in time! We got married on the property in 2002. Our family gathers together a lot throughout the summers and we have a ski commute to our vehicles during the winter. We love to share our cabin with those of like mind. It's truly a sweet spot!Learn more about this land:Our cabin in the woods offers you a sweet getaway. Think of it as Luxury Camping. No running water but fresh water is provided. Privy on premises. Gas stove. Wood stove. No refrigeration (coolers & ice works!). Grill. Fire pit. Basic kitchen items. Wood-fired sauna. Totally off grid. Located on the river.The cabin is suited for short term stays, though someone with a good comfort level of being in nature and off grid could enjoy a longer stay. Life slows down in our neck of the woods.

The cabin is 2 rooms. The large room consists of the kitchen, dining and as pictured here, the living room.

The cabin sits right next to the river on a bluff. It's a sweet, meandering river with a great swimming hole.

The Sauna - a swedish style sauna, wood fired. Stone floor. Changing room. Overlooks the river.

Teardrop Trailer

Our place is located on the top of an Appalachian mountain, over look miles of farmland. We offer both land to camp on, and teardrop trailer rentals on the campsite itself. Just bring a sleeping blanket, food and drinks, and we will take care of the rest.

Laughing Pig Farm

Laughing Pig farm is a small family homestead. We grow as much of our own food as possible while doing our best to be good land stewards. Animals present: dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and geese. We are part of a Scottish colony established in 1873. The property is surrounded by thousands of acres of wilderness to explore and relax in. Mountain bike and ski trails within a few kilometers. Bikes and skis available on site.

Triple T Tree Farms

Learn more about this land:Camps sites are on the tree farm high on a hill bordering the Canadian border the Appalachain trail and Monson Pond. Mostly tent sites for people who enjoy nature and wild life, swimming in the pond as well as fishing in the pond and brook. We do have limited sites with water available. Kipp park is directly across the road with fire pits and picnic sites. You can always get water at the home farm house. It is a very quiet, peaceful and secluded place.Near by we have a Amish community where you can buy fresh eggs, vegetables  as well as fresh baked goods, pies and bread. Also Amish furniture built to last.

Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent on the giant lawn, close to the running stream that runs down the property to the river or by the firepit or be more adventurous and pitch it on one of the private three wooded plateaus (seasonal) or right by the St John River, up to you. Newly planted butterfly garden. Plenty of wildlife.
