We loved how peaceful and serene this spot is. Sunsets and sunrises are amazing, and the seated area beneath the main parking area is very well done.
The bathroom was very well kept, and the utilities were very well layed out and easy to use. Thanks so much Justin, we’ll definitely be back!

Sometimes I resist writing a good review because we all want to keep hidden gems hidden. I love this place. The location was easy to find, close to groceries and gas, and the host couldn’t be more welcoming, warm and gracious. We tented with a lake view which gave us access to the bathhouse. Not heated, but hot showers. The property is clean and well maintained, with beach and water access. Will be back again!

Weekend Trip to Maine Lakeside Hideaway - Otyokwa
Beautiful slice of peace. The hosts are wonderful, the cabins appropriately rustic and the views and quiet totally amazing. The sauna is a must and a dip in the lake!! Will be back again and again.

Amazing site. I have a Silverado 1500 and a 6x12 (plus 2’ of trailer tongue) and was able to pull down, back to the precipice of the hill down to fire pit, unhook and reposition truck, hook up and pull up to back it into position. Anything bigger cannot and would need to be backed in. A skilled driver would easily reverse down. Pit toilet is well maintained, site is directly on a private lake and veryyyy quiet in October. I highly recommend this site ANY time of year! The tree line between sites was very privatizing, I never felt exposed to anyone’s site next door. Excellent experience at this Hipcamp, the area was what I wanted for exploring, and Helen’s restaurant was worth eating at several times. I look forward to returning.

This property is awesome! Secluded and totally private with a beautiful view of the lake- plus water, electricity, and sewer if you need it!
There is an outhouse but the system they use keeps it better than most any porta potty you’ll find.
I failed to take photos, but definitely recommend this spot!

Another great stay at Erica’s place. The location is perfect, with plenty to do nearby. Boothbay has that classic Maine feel — a little quieter and less touristy than Bar Harbor. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are close by and definitely worth checking out.

Conner’s Landing is an exceptional place. Not only is there everything provided that you need - water, sewer, and 30A/50A service, but it is very very private and definitely off-the-beaten path. The lakeside site is great for launching a kayak or canoe. We had kayaks and getting them in and out was no issue. We brought a 30ft travel trailer, pulled it straight in and still had plenty of maneuvering room. My tow vehicle is huge - a crew cab dually with an 8ft bed. If you like serenity, a peaceful lakeside site, and loons singing to you, you’ll fall in love with Conner’s Landing.

Aroostook & the Highlands
Maine’s mountainous north is the stuff that hiker’s bucket lists are made of. The sprawling wilderness of Baxter State Park is the starting point of the epic Appalachian Trail and home to Maine’s highest peak—the 5,267-foot Mount Katahdin. Miles of hiking trails run through the highlands, along with some of the state’s best snowmobiling and cross-country skiing trails.
