Beautiful property! My husband and I brought our two dogs for a peaceful weekend in our travel trailer. The location had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed several hiking trails in the area, grilled delicious meals under the large shelter, and relaxed by the fire with a perfect view of the stars. This location exceeded our expectations and the onsite bathroom was a bonus! We highly recommend this spot and will be back next fall!

It was great spot. You can hear some road noise but felt secluded. Pod was nice to look at. Electrical is pretty far away from the pad. 100ish feet. They provided a 30A extension cord for us. Not a problem as we have a 30A rig but if you need 50A bring an extension.

The entrance is off of Sam Downs Rd. Was a very quiet and secluded spot. The parking spot is fairly level and a decent amount of space. Right next to the highway, which we enjoyed hearing. Is also right next to their shop, but it wasn't busy last night. The electric box was wired for 50 amps, but the extension cords provided were 30 amps. The electrical box was about 100 feet from the spot. Water is available, the on/off is at the store. Very friendly host that came and met us when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again!

Our group included a set of grandparents and a family of 4 with two toddlers. This was a private campground in a quiet area. Some campsites had electrical outlets that were not compatible with our setup, but we located ones that were. There was a play area for the kids with a bit of play equipment suitable for different age groups, and a horseshoe pit. The resident dogs were friendly and visited our sites each morning. The owner was friendly and helpful and made sure we were settled in and had what we needed. If you are looking for a quiet out-of-the-way campsite, not too many frills but all you need for a fun camping experience, as opposed to more modern, bustling camping experience, then this quaint campground is for you!

I just got back from a 3 night stay at Savys Retreat and I’m already planning my next trip. It’s in a beautiful part of Kentucky, especially in the fall. The property sits down a dead end road, single lane but well maintained, and it’s one of the last places out there so it’s quiet, private, and peaceful.
Everything about the site is well thought out and taken care of. You can tell the owners take pride in it. The setup felt more like an RV resort than a campsite, plenty of space, clean, and everything you could need. I spent my evenings sitting by the fire watching the sunset, then stayed out until the stars came out. Hard to beat that.
The hosts were quick to respond, friendly, and made sure everything was just right.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, private spot to unwind, this is it.

My 5 nights here were awesome! It's out in the woods on a curvy mountain road on the side of a hill with a level packed gravel site under a cover. The dead end road to it is 1 lane with few neighbors and is very peaceful. The covered site and the half bath were great. Absolutely the best Hipcamp out of the 7 I have stayed at for sure. Squirrels barking in the trees, and hoot owls at night, and a great firepit with wood......a great place to chill out and unwind! I will definitely be back next Spring with my Harley to ride the awesome twisty, curvy mountain roads in the area! I hiked Turkey Foot, West and East Pinnacle trails and Flat Rock trail. It's 20 minutes to Berea with many places to shop and eat.

We just took our little renovated camper out for the very first time, and this spot could not have been more perfect. What a magical place! It was private, spacious, and such a wonderful fit for myself, my husband, and our two-year-old. The bathroom with a toilet and sink was such a welcome addition—such a convenience that made things so much easier.
We loved having a fire, slowing down, and just enjoying the quiet. It was incredibly peaceful—you couldn’t hear cars or any outside noise, just the stillness of nature. Exactly what we were hoping for. Truly the perfect getaway.

This camp site is well laid out, so private, and peaceful. We hadn't camped in a long time and wanted to be some place we could take our dog and just be away from the noise. This was it. Clean, well taken care of, and even though it's a bit off the beaten path, it's still not too far from Berea if you want to shop or go hiking. There's so much space you don't feel closed in. Rare thing at a campsite. The last few miles of the drive are narrow and winding so be prepared for that.

Savvy's retreat was the absolute best thing about our Summer! Beautiful getaway with my hubby, dog and RV loving cat. Cristhian and Christy have thought of everything! Electric and water hookup, hammocks to chill in, amazing fire pit. Savvy's has it all for a relaxing, fun time! Definitely on the "go back there" list! :)

Savvy Retreat is absolutely awesome. Especially if you are searching for peace and solitude. It’s a single campsite in the middle of nowhere designed for maximizing “getting away from everything”. If that is what you’re searching for then Savvy Retreat is a must. If you’re looking for activities close by, search elsewhere. If you’re looking for socialization, search elsewhere. This is a retreat for you away from all things crazy in your life.
There are lights under the shelter for nighttime “whatever”. There are games. There is a fabulous bathroom (no shower) so that you don’t have to use the tiny bathroom in your rv. Horseshoes…check. Pet lines for 3 pets…check. Fire pit and fire wood…check. Picnic table…check. Places to hang lights…check. Flat drive thru….check. Easy pull around driveway…check. Swings and hammock…check.
Savvy Retreat is for solitude. Peace away from mayhem. Full hookups for ease.
Need space? Need no one around you? Need no family activities (all about 1.5 hours away) then schedule Savvy Retreat now. You’ll love it. We did. It recharged our life batteries perfectly. T & K

This is, by far, the nicest campsite (Hipcamp or otherwise) I have ever been to, and I've been camping since childhood. The host's attention to detail in the beauty and amenties of the site are obvious. One word of caution, do not use Waze for GPS to the site, or you will get very, very heckin lost down dead-end dirt roads (not fun). Use the host's directions to supplement Google for GPS. Google will at least get you on the correct roads where you can then follow both the host's directions and signs to this beautiful site.

2 nights at Stoneybrooke
We enjoyed the peace and quiet during the Holiday weekend. Stoneybrook is a great escape all to yourself with electric hookup and access to water. We did have to use an extension to the electric but was prepared so it wasn't an issue. Our pups were thankful for escaping the fireworks this year.
