We have 4 pristine acres of land on the outskirts of the town of Hilo, with 3 acres of private forest, bordering on the Mauna Kea watershed, in the foothills of Mauna Loa volcano. Located in the Highlands of Waiakea Uka, at 1000-foot elevation, we are high above the humidity of Hilo. The glamping tent is situated right between the meadow and the forest. It's mostly peaceful here and it feels like being in the country. You can walk into the woods or up the road. There are no street lights, so there is a great view of the night sky. It's a great place for a Retreat, a Writer's Retreat, a Vision Quest or a Medicine Journey. We also offer Holistic and Vibrational Healing with Joy Gardner and others, and Rejuvenation through Body Work and Water in the Bamboo Bath House (see also RMAMysteryschool.com) Location: 15 minutes from the Airport, 15 minutes from Target and lots of good restaurants in Hilo, 20 minutes from Rainbow Falls, 20 minutes from Richardson Beach with great snorkeling, 20 minutes from good surfing at Honoli'i Beach Park, 40 minutes from Volcano and the Caldera.

We love our simple off-grid lifestyle with the serenade of the coqui frog and the Roosters down the road. We have several camping or glamping options for you to choose from. There is the Hotbox, which is a converted 20x8 cargo box or the Yurt our 16 foot bell tent. And several separate tent campsites, one is even right in the middle of The Girls. That being said, only guests over the age of 21 please and thank you! We are 20 miles from the Hilo Airport. 13 Miles from Volcano National Park and 15 miles from Kahena Beach, 10 miles from Pahoa. You WILL need a car!

The eco-container cottage is an off-grid oasis set in a native Ohi’a ha forest 2500ft up on Kīlauea. Our cooler temperatures and breath-taking night sky views make for a relaxing and unique Big Island stay. The container home is equipped with 2 queen sized beds, an 8ft couch, flat screen tv, outdoor covered kitchen, mini fridge and freezer, pots, pans, basic dishes, wrap around covered porch, composting toilet, and stand-up shower, as well as an outdoor clawfoot tub built into the deck. The container has its own solar power system, rainwater catchment, Wi-Fi with high-speed internet, heater, and we always have hot water! Due to power constraints being off grid there is no microwave, clothes iron, washer, dryer or dishwasher.

We are only 3 miles from the active crater in Volcanoes National Park with hiking trails all over! These are actually 6 hotel rooms that get 5 stars all the time. Better than Glamping for sure. For just a bit more than a camping site, you get great beds and a hot tub! There's a party pavillion for herb and smoking. 420 friendly!
