Such a fantastic place! The privacy was amazing, and our dog absolutely loved having so much space to run around for hours. Tony was incredibly kind and hospitable. The fruit trees were such a cool bonus—we even picked a few. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

Loved this site. So private and serene next to the river. Very large site with plenty of wood for a fire. There’s a grill there if you bring charcoal. I would definitely stay again.

When one aspires to find peace, calm, tranquility and beauty, one should include the Bluewater Horse Ranch in his list of candidates. This rural enclave has level, sandy terrain, Oak trees, Pine trees, some Spanish moss and a community of farm animals: horses, dogs, ducks, emu. The separation from city lights enables one to see a massive number of stars that would otherwise be obscured. Thank God for the availability of the Bluewater Horse Ranch!!

Anna is an exceptional host, and this stay was something truly special. From the moment I arrived, she went above and beyond, even leading me to the perfectly level spot on her ATV, which made setup stress free and welcoming.
I had easy access to water and 30-amp power, and everything worked exactly as needed. Anna is incredibly accommodating and clearly cares deeply about the experience she provides.
Although I stayed during the winter, the magic of this place was absolutely still present. There’s a calm, grounded feeling here that’s hard to put into words…the kind that makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper.
Her dogs are so well behaved, and her sweet old boy completely won me over. He even graciously tolerated my very opinionated (and slightly bossy) chihuahua. He is a true gentle giant.
And the horses and ponies… there really aren’t words. Their beauty, presence, and spirit are something you simply have to see in person to understand. It’s clear how much love and care goes into them.
Anna has created something truly special here, and it shows in every detail. She’s worked incredibly hard for what she’s built, and it’s an honor to experience a place shared with so much heart. I’m so grateful for this stay and would absolutely return.

This cabin is spacious, warm and safe. We were in need of a place to stay. Stacey has many different options to pick from rent and RV spots to even a pioneer campsite. Now that's rad. We were also provided firewood that we were not charged for because it was raining. Stacey is a great host.

We only stayed overnight at Kim’s property but it was a nice private campsite on the river with a firepit and picnic table. It’s far away from city lights so you get to see the stars! A perfect place if you want to enjoy a peaceful time outdoors. It was easily accessible with our 20ft camper van. Might not be ideal for bigger rigs but perfect for vans, smaller trailers, or tent campers. We’ll definitely come back if we are in the area again.

My son and I loved camping at Suwannee Glades. We recommend it without reservation as long as you enjoy primitive camping. We plan to camp there again soon. It was a delightful experience.

Great place to take the family for an adventure. Easy access to the Florida Trail. Highly recommend checking out Disappearing Creek, which about a 15 min hike from camp. The propery is large and very private. The campsite is approximatley 1000 ft from the river. You can drive down to the river, although the bank fairly steep. A golf cart or four wheeler would make it easier to get to the beach, where you can launch paddle craft, fish, and swim. There is a large pole barn to shelter in during bad weather. It has a table with chairs, a small kitchen sink and table. Power is available at near the fire ring and in the screened room with a hammock. I recommend bringing an extension cord. Shout out to Jerry for providing firewood for a nominal fee. The bathroom and shower are a big plus. The river is a 5 min walk from the campsite, the beach is around 7 min. Janet was a great host and was in touch daily, making sure that we got the most out our experience. The listing does accurately describe the campsite.

We escaped Black Friday madness by spending the long Thanksgiving weekend at Kim's place. Boy are we glad we did! The site is beautiful, private & secluded, and full of wildlife. There were three generations of us primitive camping here with plenty of room for everyone... 4 vehicles and four tents, no problem. We even managed to launch a kayak down the steep stairway without too much hassle. There was more than plenty of downed firewood available, so It was really cool having two fires going at once! We had the main campfire for sitting around, warming ourselves, and telling stories, and the cook fire off to the side at the "grill station." The camp bathroom was a nice bonus that the girls in our group really appreciated! Although trekking along the river bank here is not recommended for inexperienced hikers (the banks are steep and the cypress knees are a trip hazard), those that do will be rewarded with endless views of high sandy bluffs and peacefully flowing waters that take you back in time. Our only complaint was that the noise from the nearby interstate reminded us that we can't fully escape the steady hum of civilization, but Kim's place still comes pretty close!!

Janet was so easy to work with! This spot has everything you need and Janet and Jerry made everything all ready with firewood and all! The river is a nice short walk and we really enjoyed fishing and playing in the water. We absolutely loved this spot, we felt so secluded and safe. Our young boys and dogs had so much fun running around. The horseshoes were so fun and the sleeping porch was amazing to have the extra sleeping space. Hope we can have the chance to stay longer and explore more of the beautiful Suwannee River next time!

Cute little spot, I would come back to stay for longer. Feels like very much in the sticks for only 30mins from ev charging haha. Nice for a 3 piece family like us, we even met a friendly dog there too. Really like the shower house.

Nice small camp site. The river was very low. The pathway down to it is fairly steep, somewhere between 45° and 35°. It would take two people to launch kayaks or canoes, though a paddle board would be managable for one person. Due to the steep bank, I would not recommend this campsite to paddle campers. Unloading and loading camping gear from canoes here would be a chore and a half when the river is low. If you plan on fishing, there is room for one maybe two people to cast off the bank. The campite gets full sun for most of the day. There is room for 2-3 two person tents and 2 hammocks. That would leave the campsite very very crowded. 1-2 tents and a hammock would be ideal. There is very little room to turn a vehicle around once you head down the drive way. I recommend you hop out at the gate and take the 2-3 min walk to the camp before you drive down. The dirt road leading to the property has some areas where the sugar sand is 2-3 inches deep. There was minimal noise from the neighbors during the day, and very quiet at night. There was some noise from the near by bridge during commuting hours, but thats to be expected. There is only one residence visible from camp, across the river. Minimal light pollution meant you could see the bands of the Milky Way at night. Over all, its a nice place to spend the night. The campsite was clean when we arrived. The host was very reaponsive when messaged through the HipCamp app.
