We’re just 5 miles from downtown Stuart on the Inland waterway that offers a lovely walkable downtown where you will find a theater, unique art studios, interesting and unique craft and clothing shops, and numerous restaurants offering everything from vegan and vegetarian options, to pizza, steak, and local seafood. If you’re looking for fast food franchises in the downtown areas, you’ll need to look elsewhere! Only 11 miles from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Daily excursions are available from the launch site to the infamousTrapper Nelson’s hideaway. A must do for adventurous types who appreciate legends and creative off grid living. ABOUT US: This Camp Site is on a 1/2 acre, owner occupied property and located in a beautiful, open, quiet neighborhood setting. It offers a natural walking path with several foot bridges around the lake. Our property has very easy accessibility to all major roads including interstate 95. Our camp sites provide you a peaceful stay while still being close to all you seek. This location makes for a great stop over or destination spot. Guests will wake in the morning to the lovely site and peaceful sounds of the mostly year round residents including pileated &red-bellied woodpeckers, black vultures, raccoons, egrets, ibis, hawks, quaker parrots, herons, bluejays, grackles, crows, lizards, mourning doves, gray squirrels, owls, hawks, and occasional sightings of iguanas and turtles. Nights tend to be dark and quiet by the lake with minimal traffic noise. We are pet friendly provided your pet is too! As noted above, this is in a quiet, neighborhood setting, just a bit off the beaten path. The Home on the property is an old concrete block Florida beauty built in the 40s, used by your hosts as the perfect sanctuary for yoga and massage. Sophia (your host) is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor, and owns Sophlow Yoga, a Local Yoga Studio and Surf School. She loves gardening, and has a complete apothecary of herbs, salves and tinctures for your daily needs. Both she and her boyfriend are Native Floridians, and are more than happy to share local knowledge of their home town of Wabasso Beach. Marshall (your other host & Sophia’s other half) is an avid waterman. He is a Sailboat Captain, happy to take you cruising on the open sea or fishing for local catch, as well as a Master Carpenter with experience in plumbing, electric and mechanical handy work. He specializes in renovating small spaces such as sailboats and RVs with his attention to detail and meticulous woodwork, so you can leave not only rejuvenated, but renovated! Both of your hosts hope to give you the vacation experience of your dreams, and will support with any services they can, or by simply leaving you in peace.

Our favorite place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner is Carter's Grocery, which is only 4 minutes from our property. ACTIVITIES: We have chickens that lay eggs and are great for eating so if you'd like some fresh eggs, feel free to go over to their house and grab some. We have a Pavillion with a fire pit that is welcomed to be used. Our dock provides a look out on our pond. Please feed the fish some food if you'd like. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch. THE SPACE: The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. The ground will be grass that the camper will park on. Please note: we have 2 gates with gate codes that shut automatically. Please be sure each gate closes behind you! We have free roaming cattle and other farm animals outside the camping area. We are always open to recommendations on how we can make your stay even better! FireFly Farm

A small family owned and operated 5 acre pasture raised poultry farm. This is a working farm that sells poultry meat and eggs to the local community. If you have ever wondered what it might be like to live on a poultry farm -- this is it! Depending on the time of year there may also be bee hives located on the far back or very front of our pastures. Due to biosecurity measures you do not have full access to roam the entire farm and pastures. However, the RV spot is placed with a view of most farm activities. Our farm is home to free roaming hens, roosters, geese, quail, guinea fowl, ducks, turkeys and pigs. We have 4 livestock guardian dogs that keep our animals safe from predators. Both the birds and the dogs do make noise, so please keep that in mind. It's all part of farm life ! While we love animals and would love to invite your pets to stay, due to the nature of our guardian dogs we do not allow any pets. There is grated spot for your RV with electric, water and septic hook-ups. Our farm is in operation 7 days a week and there may be poultry processing that is completed during your stay.

Welcome to Valhalla Prairie Farms, a 10-acre oasis located on the prairie in Okeechobee, FL. This is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. It is full of the most beautiful views of the stars and provides peace and quiet, You will be left alone to write that book, let your children run free, meditate, or just relax. Bring your dogs, they will have a blast! This is not a place for glampers, people afraid of nature, or people that cannot deal with bugs or extreme temperatures!!! During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times. We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night. You will possibly see, cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly. We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping. Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn. The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone. There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. 1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping. Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. It is hard with words to describe the beauty of this property, so please check out the pictures.
