Celestial Acres

6 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Hastings, FL
Welcome to our little homestead. Nestled amidst the serene countryside, this quaint campground offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by lush farms and sprawling horse pastures, the air is filled with the sweet scent of wildflowers and the gentle rustle of leaves. With only a handful of RV spots and a few cozy tents scattered among the trees, guests can truly reconnect with nature while roasting marshmallows over crackling campfires under a blanket of stars. Here, the pace slows down, allowing visitors to unwind and immerse themselves in the simple pleasures of rural life. We just finished (well 2 years ago) traveling the country in an RV with five of our 7 kids (oldest two were in college) and we had a terrible time finding places to stay in Saint Augustine when we came home to visit. I hope that we can offer some nice people a safe and beautiful place to park their rig. Things to do: The property is near the historic St. Augustine, a fun walkable/bikeable city, lots of state parks and of course an awesome beach! Other things to note: 6 Miles away is 4 Lakes Campground with dumping facilities

The water is rich with tannins from the Okefenokee Swamp, giving it a tea-colored appearance that looks black in deeper areas. Is the river safe for swimming? Yes, the tannins in the water help kill bacteria and mosquito larvae, making it great for swimming. Is the river rocky or rough on the feet? No, the property is on an ancient oceanfront dune with soft white beach sand, perfect for swimming. Does the river smell? No, it has little to no odor. Are there bugs? While we recommend bug/tick spray, mosquitoes don’t overrun the property. Are there wild animals? Yes, wild animals can appear at any time. Is hunting allowed? No, this is a private retreat. BB guns are okay with adult supervision. Family friendly? Yes! But please note there is no lifeguard on duty, so watch children closely, as river currents can be strong. Swim at your own risk. Are there stores nearby? Yes, a small store with gas is 2 minutes away, along with a Dollar General (5 mins), Walmart (10 mins), and local restaurants.
