Cruise along Flagler Beach's unique orange sand while RV camping on Atlantic Ocean shores.
Just under 40 minutes north of Daytona Beach on the Matanzas River and east of the Atlantic Ocean, Flagler Beach RV campsites range from private RV resorts to state and national parks with beach and lakeshore campsites—some are first-come, first-served, while others can be reserved in advance. With orange-hued sand that gets its color from crushed coquina shells, Flagler Beach houses a single fishing pier jutting out over the ocean where campers can catch their dinner—so it's a good thing many campsites include firepits and picnic tables. RV campers at nearby Crooked River State Park (113 miles north across the Georgia border) can find opportunities for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, plus boating at the Cumberland Island National Seashore. Some private RV campsites are restricted to campervans and pop-ups but offer 50-amp hookups to power AC during the hot summer season.
