Escape the city and find this magical semi-off-grid treasure. Treehouse Magic sits on an 80-acre horse ranch 6476 feet above Sea level (+ 20 feet for the treehouse!!) Built by hand, with love, and a little help from our friends over a 4-year period. Treehouse Magic is built around PAL an over 80+-year-old Ponderosa Pine.
This wonderful space is magical in every way! Only 300 sq. feet with an almost 1100 sq. foot deck, including the covered gnome room. The upstairs bedroom is a full mattress (14" gel mattress). There is also a fold-out couch to sleep 1. The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Gnome room in the "pop-up" tent and cots (during the Summer months). We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... (a little tutorial is needed) a sink and a trough step-in tub/shower with rain head. Wifi- Roku on inside TV as well or just the calm of beautiful nature!
Please note: This is a real treehouse!! Running water will be turned off from Nov-April (except for warm days and we can turn on for a short time). We will be sure you have plenty of potable water for drinking and using.

My family and I stayed for 2 nights. It truly is magical. Marni and Frank are wonderful hosts. The boys loved visiting all of the goats and horses and seeing the llamas and alpacas. We can’t wait to come back in the summer time!!!

My husband and I traveled from Maryland to Colorado in our RV. He is an Army veteran from New York and I am originally from Colorado. I haven’t been home for Thanksgiving in years and this trip was especially meaningful because I was able to spend both my birthday and Thanksgiving with my family. It was truly such a blessing. This May we officially become empty nesters with our youngest of four heading off to college so being able to come home this year felt even more special.
We had a wonderful stay. It felt so nice to be home again. The view of the mountains filled my heart with so much love and joy. The blue sky was absolutely stunning and the night sky lit up with incredible stars. I even saw a shooting star. It was breathtaking.
JC and his wife were incredibly accommodating and generous to allow us to occupy their space during a holiday and I am forever grateful for their kindness.
The location is perfect and makes it easy to get to everything. From one Coloradan to another, thank you so much. ❤️

This Magical Treehouse and land were everything my family needed and more!! We could not have asked for a more pleasant and peaceful retreat! Marni gave us a rundown of the facilities, and we couldn't have imagined a better stay. From the whimsical hand-crafted beauty of the actual treehouse around "Pal", to the amenities (including games/fun, cooking utilities/supplies, Wi-Fi/TV accommodations and plenty of warmth and cozy blankets and pillows, even full working bathroom facilities), down to the quiet starlit nights including a fire pit on the patio to keep warm while star-gazing! My son especially loved visiting and interacting with the extremely affectionate and friendly free roaming animals we got to interact with and became especially fond of, even giving our own little names to each, as they greeted us kindly several times each day. Only complaint was that we couldn't afford a longer stay!.. as each of us were sad to leave and say goodbye to the relaxing and intimate natured feel of the place, and our very welcoming and accommodating hosts. We felt secure even in the peaceful darkness around us knowing the host's dogs were looking out for us into the night. We will definitely be returning next season for a longer stay if welcomed, as Marni/Frank were on call for any questions or needs, we had throughout the stay, and were exceptionally kind to us as well. Thank you for such a pleasant experience to get us "away from it all" and the delight of bringing nature closer! XOX

We were extremely thrilled to revisit Will and Jake and their campsite. As always the campsite was clean, inviting, and well maintained. Jake cooked for us again and the gourmet burgers did not disappoint. As the last campers of the season, we were pleased to relax in a pine tree haven. Doggie and I loved camping with the Jansmas. They were there to greet us coming in, and the tent and equipment were perfection. Extra bedding, lotion, candles, a solar shower and privvy, all were luxury. The dog so enjoyed being off leash all weekend. The highlight of our stay was the birthday dinner that Jake cooked on the final night, with a special creme brulee for dessert complete with candle. The coyotes (and the highway traffic) were a bit closer than I had realized they would be at times, but the rest of the time was quiet and beautiful. If you come, make sure to stop at Costello's Coffee House. We will be back!

What a wonderful experience. We spent my partner’s birthday out in nature after an exhausting summer and Will went above and beyond with this site.
It comes with all your camping basics (chairs, kitchen supplies, towels, extra blankets etc) so you don’t have to worry about packing too much. Will was there to greet us with Carrie, and we’re both so kind.
Will made us feel welcome at the campsite, showing us our amenities and a few walking paths. He was always within reach to answer any of our questions.
We decided since it was a special occasion, to have Jake cook for us- and I am GLAD we did! The best burger I’ve had in a long time, and it’s at our campsite. He even went and made a special dessert for us, and brought out a birthday candle and everything.
The stars are abundant, the views are amazing (even from the outhouse), and the energy of Camp Ka-Ne-Ga is everything we could have wanted for a peaceful mountain getaway.
We’re all excited to return soon.

We loved our stay. Will was a gracious host and the campsite had everything we needed. We stayed with our 2 kids (6 and 4) and there was plenty of room for 2 cots. Even with some rain, we had a blast hiking and visiting the wolf sanctuary. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed staying in Will’s beautiful tent. So many cute and special details were present, not to mention every need as a camper. All you need to bring is food and drinks. Everything else is perfectly arranged. And if you do not want to cool his son will cook for you! Even in the rain we had a lovely time. The spot is well positioned for local trails, fly fishing, and the newly reopened coffee shop less than a mile away.

We decided to spend our 16th anniversary on Will’s glamping spot and it didn’t disappoint. Surrounded by pine trees in a remote location we couldn’t ask for better and privacy. Will was a gracious host and most accommodating with the amenities. The site was built and designed with care for anyone looking to relax in a tranquil setting. We saw tons of birds, squirrels, and even deer. Also, we were delighted to have Jake cook for us on our anniversary day-he even accommodated us with surprise dessert. The food and service was spectacular! Overall, this was a great and relaxing experience and a highly recommended glamping spot. We will be back! Thank you!

Will’s not-so-little piece of land is incredible! A wonderful spot for our family and two dogs to unwind, soak up nature, stargaze, chop wood, explore, and enjoy life. We were impressed by all the amenities and it was clear no detail was left unconsidered. Will is a delightful human who is a joy to chat with. Jake’s dinner was delicious and I’d recommend that add on if it’s available for your trip here! I highly recommend this spot and I’m sure we will be back!
