Explore the best of the San Luis Valley, sand dunes, and mountains in comfort while RV camping.
Park your campervan or big rig at an RV park near Alamosa for easy access to museums, galleries, restaurants, and the great outdoors. Alamosa RV campgrounds sometimes offer full hookup sites, space for larger rigs, and pet-friendly sites, while some RV resorts provide amenities like clubhouses, playgrounds, laundry facilities, and wifi. From Alamosa, you can head out to North Americas largest sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes National Park, where seasonal campgrounds offer a dump station but no RV hookups. RV campers who don't need hookups can also find plenty of campsites in the nearby Rio Grande National Forest, where you can explore millions of acres of dense woodland, mountains, and the high desert perfect for hiking, rock climbing, fishing, and winter sports. For water play, head to Lathrop State Park or Trinidad State Park, home to RV sites with both electric and full hookups. Or look for birds and other wildlife at the San Luis State Wildlife Area.
