1 night at Gold Wall Ranch & Vineyard

We love tiny houses and cozy accommodation and this one is one of our favorites. We stayed for one night just for a quick getaway for my son’s bday. We enjoyed our stay, of course, the comfy bed, clean restroom, and nice communal space for BBQ and firepit. The beautiful views, the serenity of the place, the stunning sunset and sunrise, a taste of star gazing, and the train ride make this trip a memorable one. Thank you Michelle and Patrick for being such an awesome host, very accommodating and warm. Your place is a gem! We’ll come back again.

Would absolutely recommend. My partner and I had a fantastic one night stay. Kelly greeted us upon arrival and we were very impressed with the accommodations. The view from the hot tub and room was exceptional. The bed very comfortable and the room was set up with everything we needed. We would be happy to stay here again.

Jeremy's land was so beautiful! I loved kayaking in the lake, waking up to gorgeous sunrises out the windows, and petting the dogs, goats, horses, chickens. Jeremy and his whole family were really sweet to be around when we did run in to them on the property, and as a host he was quite helpful if we ever had questions or requests. Would definitely stay here again.

Wow! We had the best time at Kelly’s sanctuary in Lincoln. Her hospitality is TOP notch! She is very welcoming and is responsive if and when we needed anything. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and stayed one night with our dog. The view is outstanding, serene and quiet. You can see the sunset at night while basking in the hot tub. Such a wonderful experience. We plan to go back soon! Would highly recommend for a lovely get away.

Very conveniently located and easy to get around being right next to the highway. Of course it means it’s not quiet and pitch black at night, but that was a good fit for our beginner camper children. The people we met while on the property (workers and residents) are all friendly and kept our camp site secure.

Amazing spot! Super worth it and I highly recommend it to others also the description matched perfectly. One thing we did notice was a white dog roaming around the campsite and near us but it didn't bother us during our stay.

We had a great time camping here! The host John was very helpful and had some great info on the area and things to do with our kids. The site was super spacious and had so much firewood available to burn for our campfire. Showers were pleasant, large and warm!! The location was quiet and peaceful and we would have stayed here longer if time allowed! The site is a short drive to Groveland and endless hikes. Definitely a site we will be returning to!

This was a great place for a low key camping trip! The host was so considerate when our original campsite was too muddy from recent rains. Rachael notified us ahead of time and got us into another campsite close by. The bathroom amenities were really well maintained and it was a really nice perk. Our pups had a really nice time too. Overall, we loved our time there and will absolutely be back again!

AMAZING GEM OF A PLACE! My husband and I were in awe with its beauty and peace. Our dogs loved it, too. We had the best time walking along the river, taking in the scenery, and admiring the stars at night. It’s so beautiful it almost seems surreal. The place also felt super safe. The portable restrooms were well maintained and clean. Cute small towns about 20 minutes away. 11/10 would recommend. Will definitely return soon!

Loved the yurt. Such a beautiful stay! Great location and tons of privacy. I would even say planning a little day out day to go to the wineries in the area! I would advise being prepared to take multiple trips up and down a steep hill or bring multiple wagons! Definitely a small hike so prepare with good shoes. If I could give any feedback I would say a good cleaning is needed (lots of webs). The picnic table needs to replaced it was very weather worn so we didn’t get to use it.

Weekend Trip to Ascension Ranch

The painted animals on the trash cans are super cute. Host checked in via text, he was away while we were there. It was fine because I go camping to hermit. We booked this campsite to try out backpacking gear we borrowed from our friends. This was a nice base and there's lots of good trails nearby. I now know I don't like backpacking . I really enjoyed this campsite, it was very private feeling and well cared for. I'm looking forward to coming back with our regular set up.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful campground nestled next to the Cosumnes River, and it was such a peaceful and refreshing experience. The site was spacious and serene, with the soothing sound of the river flowing by—it truly felt like nature's own sleeping pill. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right from the start. Just a heads-up: the road from the entrance gate to the actual Hipcamp sites is about 20 minutes on an unpaved road, so plan accordingly. Some campsites are located right by the river, offering a magical experience, while others are up the hill. Even then, a few of the hilltop spots still offer beautiful views of the river. One important thing to note—there are no trash bins on-site, so be sure to pack out everything you bring in. Leave no trace! Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds. Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite. A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We're not far from Wards Ferry Road, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and other interesting places.

With a total of only 4 campsites, it is a great location for a group to reserve the entire campground. All campsite have potable well water spigots. Guests will enjoy the privacy while swimming, stream exploring, hiking, spelunking, forest immersion, fishing for wild trout, gold panning, or simply relaxing in a breathtaking environment – come fall in love with this special private ranch. After one stay, you will be a repeat guest. PLEASE NOTE: A 4-Wheel Drive or All-Wheel Drive vehicle is needed to access 3 of the 4 campsites due to the road incline and rock and gravel road surface. One campsite is accessible with a 2-wd vehicle, and has both potable well water and power. All sites have beautiful open views of the property and river canyon with natural shade in the morning and late afternoon. The Stranges are professional fish and wildlife biologists and have decided to share this special place for others to enjoy. The property hosts a diversity of plant and wildlife species that might be observed during your stay. Prehistoric and historic cultural resources can be observed along the river corridor. Please be aware that some wildlife species including rattlesnakes, bears, and mountain lions have been observed on the 117-acre property and could potentially be observed near the campsites. The Ranch's northern portion of the property supports a leased farming operation. No portions of the farming operations interfere with camping operations. The property and amenities will evolve over time. Day trips are possible to Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, Calaveras Big Trees State Park, caverns, and wine tasting, and local historic gold towns.

Our 60 years old, non irrigated, 30 acre walnut orchard sits on top a mountain at 3000 with breathtaking views and is surrounded by forest. We have over 200 Goats & Sheep, 2 horses and 3 Alpaca's that freely graze the property and will most likely visit with guests. If you are not comfortable with livestock then this is not the property for you. There is an 1200 foot airstrip running through the middle of the orchard. Parking or camping is available on this or choose to camp in the orchard. You can chill out at the property and enjoy the scenery and animals or hike around our mountain. Mineral bar campground, with access to the American River, is 20 minutes away by car where you can swim or pan for gold. Sugar Pine Reservoir is also about 20 minutes away by car, where you can fish or swim.
