Our group brought our travel trailers and had a great stay. The area was clean, quiet, and easy to access. It also had a beautiful view of the ocean, and we enjoyed watching the sunset every night. It was the perfect base camp for all of our explorations.

Beautiful cabin and hosts. Away from all distractions, we really enjoyed this place. Hosts were top, amazing views and property, lots of wildlife, great get away. So relaxing. Wish we had a longer time there. Thanks Sara and Liam, and Stanley too.

Darryl's farm has great vibes & he's a very accommodating host. I've stayed there twice & will probably stay again. Woke up to deer eating apples in the yard, wild turkeys running around, and a hawk circling the orchard.

Weekend Trip to Ganjier Campus

The cabins were super clean and cozy, completely surrounded by trees and tons of sun. I thought it was really cool that they run fully on solar power but still have electricity and wifi so you really do get the best of both worlds. The hosts were so kind and they even left snacks in the cabin, which was so sweet. Bathrooms and showers were impressively spotless and fully functional too. The entrance road is a little rough, but once you’re in, it’s so pretty, peaceful and serene, you won’t even mind the ride up. P.S. I had no clue what a “Ganjier” was when I booked, did a quick Google later and was a little surprised, given I had my younger sister with me lol.

We had an incredible stay at the cabin. The views were stunning all day long, the little terrace was a great place to hang, the interior was super cozy and comfortable, we had all the amenities we could have possibly wished for, you’re walking distance from a cute swimming hole and a short drive from bigger river beaches and gigantic redwoods. The hosts were delightful and available for everything we needed, including the adorable dog Stanley who kept us company and guided us on a little hike to the creek

The host was super hospitable, and answered all my questions I had about the area as someone looking to move here, he was always consistent about checking if we need anything (without being over bearing!) and just helpful in general. Beautiful gardens, loved watching the deer graze around the apple trees, all the birds, etc! Very peaceful experience (which is ideal since buying property is up there in terms of stressful life events!)

Weekend Trip to Humboldt Hills Experience

Darryl is a wonderful human being. His place was magical for us. It checked all the boxes, which were toilet, privacy, tranquility and wildlife. Darryl is a very attentive host and made sure we had everything that we needed or could ever want during our stay. After that, we hardly saw him or anyone else. Once booked, he reached out immediately and was quick to respond to every message. Directions were great - property was easy to find. The whole place was super quiet and tranquil. It was exactly as pictured. We go camping to get closer to nature, to get peace/quiet, and get away from people and the chaos of highly populated areas. Darryl‘s place does not disappoint, if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s off the beaten path and secluded. Our camp spot was perfect for us because it was right in the middle of all the wildlife. We had deer coming through our camp frequently. We got to watch the turkeys go to roost in the trees every night and glide down to the ground first thing in the morning. We fell asleep to the sound of the wind blowing in the trees, the birds chirping, and an owl hooting in the distance. It was like we were all alone on our own private island in the mountains. It was so nice that we decided against a motorcycle ride to Shelter Cove because we just wanted to stay in our campsite and enjoy it to the fullest. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Darryl!!

The cabin was lovely and we really enjoyed having lots of amenities while being remote. The host was super nice, and we would definitely go again. It is quite a drive on a nonpaved road for about a mile, so good to be prepared for that, and definitely 4x4 was needed for the driveway where it was steep. Being prepared for that, we had a great time!

I had a wonderful stay at Liam and Sara’s peaceful mountain retreat in Humboldt County. The cabin is surrounded by miles of trails, wildlife, and the calming sounds of Salmon Creek—complete with a perfect little swimming hole. Their dog Stanley was a sweet and playful companion for my pup, and Liam went above and beyond to help transport luggage up/down the steep drive (a big help since I don't have 4WD). The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. It's remote—about 20 minutes off Hwy 101—but the serenity and connection to nature make it more than worth the drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unplug and recharge in the redwoods.

another incredible stay here. stanley the host pup was happy to greet me right away. sara was very welcoming again as well, and offered me a reiki session for an extra charge. it was incredible. highly recommend if you are open to that kind of thing. i really enjoy the cabin in this weather. it was not really rainy, but very moody and foggy. i was cozy and wish i could have stayed longer.
