We are located between both, so you have the best access to both attractions here! We have multiple sites to accommodate every type of camping from tent camping to tents-attached-to-cars, to pop-up campers to RVs and trailers with or without power/water hookups. There are wonderful views down into the valley with off-the-chain sunsets and city lights twinkling in the valley distance! Come get away from it all and enjoy the wonderful beauty and quiet serenity of mother nature in the South West Sierras at Sequoia Mountain Farms!!! Welcome Hipcampers! PLEASE read all of the below before booking and screenshot/print the directions below. Please note we have different site types with different prices and capacities. Choose the type that's best for your group. We are outside of Bear and Marmot areas, so no Bear cans needed here. However, we are not far away and nature is wild and can be unpredictable sometimes, so please keep food in your car at night as a precaution. We have not had issues and we don't want to invite any! Hot showers, flushing toilets, deep sinks for washing and WIFI (over 70 mps in many places for you teleworkers) now available for all campers at no extra charge! ARRIVAL: THERE ARE 3 GATES HERE: RIGHT GATE: just to the right of the Giant Sequoia Tree with address sign, goes to the CAMPSITES! Look for ORANGE CONES a few feet off the highway and drive down camp road about 600 feet to the camp. MIDDLE GATE: RV1 and RV2 LEFT GATE: house, please DO NOT ENTER this gate or the house. DIRECTIONS: If you put our address in to navigation apps, sometimes it brings you to our neighbors (fire department) for some reason, even after multiple emails to google...if this happens come south/down hill about 600 feet and look for the ORANGE CONES on the same side of the road. Drive between them and down camp road to your site! (There is a pic of the site map in the posted pic's) Go to Google Maps (NOT GOOGLE SEARCH). Search for Sequoia Mountain Farms Campground. Navigator apps sometimes push folks coming from the south up the 245 highway. It is a very windy and slow climb up the hill. It is doable (even for bigger rigs), but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND continuing north on highway 99 towards Fresno and then heading east on highway 180 up the mountain. It's faster, much more scenic and a much smoother drive. This route also goes right by the nearest gas station on your way up! Heading east on highway 180, out of Fresno, the last gas station is a Valero at 35468 E Kings Canyon Rd. (aka Clingan's Junction). From Clingan's, head east on the 180 for exactly 13.8 miles to the 245 highway (it comes up quick with only 1 or 2 small signs), make a right, heading south. If you hit the park entrance, you went too far, turn around drive back about 5 min and look for the 245 on your left. Once on the 245 heading south, go 5.1 miles. On your right you will pass the 'Pinehurst Lodge', which is on google maps, an easy reference point and is 1 minute or less away (great food, bar, pool table and karaoke on weekends in the summer!). Then a few seconds later the U.S Forest Service "Work Center" is on the right and we are just past that on the same side of the road. First you will see a Giant Sequoia Tree in the front yard (campground road is just to it's right with ORANGE CONES on either side) then an apple ranch with an ole loggers cabin chimney from the late 1800s still standing in the front yard directly off the highway! If you hit the 'leaving sequoia national forest' sign and the community center, you went too far, turn around and drive 1 minute back and look for the apple ranch on your left, pass it and turn left at the ORANGE CONES. Please take note of the posted pics from directly across the street facing what you will see when you get here. PLEASE CHECK THE WEATHER: If you ask us about weather, were just going to have to look online too, so please be sure to check it yourself prior to your trip, before asking us to do it for you. Just know we are operating under the assumption that you are aware of the conditions and are prepared for them. If nature happens message us and we will do our best to assist! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location to Yosemite is super convenient and the facilities were better than we expected. Bathrooms/ showers/ common spaces were clean and it was nice to be able to walk next door to the hotel to have access to their pool and fast wifi. I will definitely be staying here again!!

This beautiful site is geared more for tent camping. There are two RV spots with water and power hook ups but those are really tight (no privacy), right next to the entrance/road for easy access. The RV sites don’t have the gorgeous views the tent sites have. Beautiful rolling hills, a small pond, and big trees create a nice athmosphere, and it is nice to walk around the campsite with dogs. This location is really close to the King’s Canyon NP entrance. Overall good but would not stay here with an RV.

3 nights at Camp Hye Sierra

Awesome private getaway just off the main road and 10 miles away from the Kings Canyon visitors center. We had a large group (9 adults and 10 kids) and we were situated right in front of the lake wheee the kids had a blast on the canoes and fished from the pier. We woke up to deer grazing in the field and turkeys later in the day. There were also some dairy cows from the ranch close by but they didn’t come back after the second night. This site has real bathrooms and showers with electricity to recharge electronics. Thanks to Chris for keeping the grounds clean and cows at bay! Highly recommend Hye Camp!

This HipCamp was excellent! Booking was easy and reliable. The camp host was fantastic with online communication prior to arriving. Once we were there he was very accommodating to assist us with our campsite, even upgrading us to a better spot with a fantastic view! The showers and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There is a nice sink for washing up dishes, etc. There was only cold water, but that was fine with us after a hot day hiking! This site was not too far of a drive from awesome spots to check out. Our main goal was General Sherman. Beautiful drives going in and heading out. I would absolutely stay here again! Thanks!!

Weekend Trip to Camp Hye Sierra

Camp Hye Sierra is a classic summer camp setting, usually used for long kids’ camps. Our spot was by one of the lakes, with paddle boats, a boathouse with running water and flush toilets, and an arbor that came in handy during an unseasonal rainstorm. We were the only campers, so we had our choice of space. If it were busy, finding a flat tent spot could be harder. The area is remote, quiet, and private — you can almost hear echoes of past camp life. The only downside was a large number of wasps.

This was a great stopover before entering Yosemite NP. It’s about a 40 min drive to the park entrance. This tent is within a campground and next to a hotel, so don’t expect to be solo. But because of this, there are plenty of amenities onsite including bathrooms and showers. Even though it was 106 when we arrived, you can walk down to the river to cool off. You can also use the pool at the lodge next door. There is AC in the tent, but you can’t run it for longer than 30 minutes before blowing the power box.

Great location and full hook up for RVs. Conveniently located just outside the Sequoia National Park gate (30-40 min). Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean but too far down a steep road from the RV site. Definitely better for tent campers.

I’ll be honest it’s not perfect. This level and as clean as it can be, although as fussy as I am, I would’ve rather seen a raked site.

This was a great camp spot. Andrew is super atentative, and the sites are generous. Showers are just in the nick of time and very nice including flushing toilets. Our experience was good 50-50, there was a giant large family having a party on a Saturday night. We kind of knew what we were in for. And it was after a long drive a bad navigation from the South. Although Andrew warned us in the comments not to use dry Creek Road, we accidentally did. If you were coming from the sequoia national forest. Go more direct routes. The winding roads are not worth it. It’s going to get windy at 245 anyway. Once we got there and settled, it was very nice. Super close to the Park entrance and felt safe. I would recommend this because I think the owner is invested in a great experience for his guest. Fair warning to people pulling trailers. The road into the property is a bit rugged, but not impossible at all. And honestly, the winding roads are just tough with any trailer… and get out early!! The parks are full of tourist families at peak season!!

It is near one of the entrances of Kings Canyon National Park. Most of the campgrounds in the Park, we noticed, were pretty booked up. Our campground only had 2 other campers, clean toilets and showers. It was very peaceful.
