If you are looking for man made and leveled campsites, then this is not your basecamp. This land is a gorgeous 20 acres that means a lot to us.  It's space to find your peace of mind and pitch a tent or hammock, as you would when hiking the backcountry.  Aside from complimentary ice water, potty, shower, soaps, sanitizer, sunscreen, first aid, communal fire pit, wood stove and dishwashing area) this is not "glamping".  If you are  a person who appreciates nature and making due with what the land has provided, then we are a great fit. Guests have 20 acres to find a secluded, or socially distanced spot to pitch camp. This is for people that know how to camp in the backcountry -  Without a trash can, who don’t leave cigarette butts, respect the land and would rather not be sectioned off. Flat areas are all over if you explore, and use your feet to brush aside rocks and twigs, to lay down a tent base, as we do every time we camp in the backcountry. The geography of these mountains is just that, hills and mountains. The vista at the top of the property is gorgeous and easily camps 5 tents spaced out. The property does offer many other great camping areas, and I’m more than happy to point them out. Yosemite is 30 minutes away, Don Pedro lake is 30 minutes, Cherry Lake is 30 minutes, Preston falls and Carlon falls are both 30 min away.  Downtown Groveland Is 7 minutes away, and other historic towns are not too far.  Close to many swimming holes. Rainbow pools is 15 minutes away. 10 min from the local grocery store and other local shops. Base Camp is just off of highway 120. This is a paved parking area at my cabin in the Sierra National Forest. My cabin is part of a subdivision called The Meadow Lakes. You will have access to a paved parking area, electrical outlet (GFCI), and water connection at the site. You are also able to visit the community pond which includes a picnic area with power outlets, shades, tables, charcoal grills, horseshoe pit, and swings. Fishing is allowed (catch and release only). Kayaks welcome. Public restroom (toilet and sink) is available at the pond (closed during winter). We loved camping at BaseCampByBo! The location and scenery was insane and we got to meet Bo himself! It was easy to find and Jarrett was incredibly helpful. The campsite feels isolated and gives the wild camping feel whilst being not crazy far from civilization. 30 minutes from some amazing hikes in Yosemite.

Thank you so much to Jarrett for sharing his land with us. It’s beautiful, private, and well maintained. We had a rough time getting to our reservation due to some car trouble and Jarrett was very understanding and flexible with us. After an unplanned night camping elsewhere, with inconsiderate neighbors, Jarrett’s spot was a sanctuary. We slept soundly under the stars at the top of a hill with a view of endless trees. The porta potty is one of the cleanest I’ve used and the outdoor shower was absolutely refreshing and hot. The location is perfect, nearby watering holes and close to Yosemite, that we did a day of each. We loved having our dog off leash with us and meeting the camp host Bo. Overall, it was a great spot and we will be back.

Such an awesome place Jarret has! Perfect location, not too far from the park and spots in Groveland. He was a great host and was really understanding of my reactive pup I brought with me. The spot on the hill was so peaceful. So much better than being cramped with a bunch of campers at a campground. Definitely would come back.

Our stay was fabulous. Jarrett was friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to make it a great stay for our family on our son’s 18 birthday. He set up a hammock, stove, and fire for us. The spot was very private and the views were amazing. Exactly what we wanted. Having access to water (shower and wash station) and a clean outhouse was a major bonus. Perfect spot if you want to be close to Yosemite without being on top of other people camping.
