Welcome to Oracle Oak Grove Oracle Oak is located in the Oak Savannas, in Nisenan territory, in Nevada City California. Home of the Nisenan Rancheria Natives, the Deer Creek Watershed. Currently stewarding these lands are some very hand crafty & gardening witches. We are stewards of this land, graciously grateful to grow food such as corn, broomcorn, pumpkins, flowers, and watermelons under the sun. This land is located less than 20 mins to multiple different Yuba River access points. We are also located in the Armpit of Nevada county with 3 access ways 15 mins each way to Grass Valley, Nevada City or Penn Valley. The neighborhood of this area is also one of the more safer bike friendlier places, you can ride into town along the NID trails, or set up camp and head up the 20HWY less than 20 mins to enjoy Epic Mountain Biking Trails. Not only are we crafty, but also nature enthusiasts to feel free to reach out and ask about fun things to do here, if you are looking to stay busy exploring the nature. We also have a beautiful sunset hike that overlooks some beautiful views. Oracle Oak Grove has a wide variety of camping options. We have a camp grounds on the lower end of the property that currently hosts 4 different camp sites. the 3 May Pole zone, and 1 Faerie fields. There is one shared Bonfire zone that can be used for friends camping together during the spring and late fall months when we are not in fire season. We love hosting groups and birthday parties. Also individual campers as well. We have two yurts available if you are more into the Glamping experience or especially if camping in the winter. The Witches Hut and The Little Witch Hut! The Witches Hut which is larger and can fit a family of 3 or 4. This hut includes a patio, grill, and Private entrance. The Little Witch Hut is smaller and more suitable for a couple or a single person wanting some solo retreat time. This one has cooking amenities accessible in an outdoor kitchen just outside the yurt. This one also gets better access to the Starlink available on the property. This yurt has the compost toilet outside and is a less than minute walk to it. Both yurts have the ability to park fairly close to them and both are fully furnished. The Yurts are available for a higher expense than the camping of course. We are sorry to say that Hot tub season is now closed. We do have a wood-fired Cedar Hot tub, she is our Cauldron she is only available during winter and very early spring visits. I am sorry, but due to fire season and her being wood-fired she is not available outside hot tub season. If you are interested in the experience it requires advanced noticed as well as an extra charge for wood, cleaning, and tending. She is a labor of love, and such a unique experience. Enjoy the smell of cedar, chlorine free waters under the stars. Enjoy and hopefully you come and experience the Magic we have made Stewarding these acres. PLEASE come check in before DARK. We are in a very Rural Area and it can be difficult to see a night where to park and camp. We have pathways and lights to guide, but there is a DESIGNATED parking zone and a cart available to carry your stuff to your CAMPSITE. This is not a CAR Camping spot there is ONE car camping site and the rest you is a very short walk to your site. Thank you.

Stax & Summer’s Off-Grid Haven Fourteen acres of raw land in the foothills near Brownsville/Oregon House — solar well, oak and manzanita trees, and a bunch of mellow animals. I’ve lived here for over a decade, mostly off-grid, and the land is still unfolding. There are a couple of donkeys, some goats, a small flock of chickens and quail, two super-chill dogs (Stax and Summer Grass), and a cat named Mike. All friendly, all part of the rhythm. If you’re cool with animals, you’ll love it. If you’re not, this probably isn’t the spot for you. You can park your trailer, post up in your rig, or camp under the trees. Bring what you need and make yourself at home. There’s space to be left alone, make some art, dig in the dirt, fix a few things, or just sit with it. If you’re solid and grounded, we can talk trade — especially if I’m off the property and need someone to keep an eye on the crew. Clear Lake Campground is a small, vintage RV and tent campground, established in the 1950s. Camp right on Cache Creek, the only outlet of Clear Lake. The campground offers fishing, kayaking, and boating right from Camp. A car or boat is required to get to Clear Lake. For lake fishing, Redbud Park, Highlands Park and Austin Park are all within a ten minute drive from Camp. Austin Park also has a playground and swimming beach. The park offers rustic charm with great fishing and bird watching right from your campsite. We have a boat launch for your kayak, canoe or motor boat and we have canoe and kayak rentals. Weekend Trip to Calistoga Dreaming

Stayed there with our 23' Airstream for a quick weekend trip. Site is great with power and water and it's perched on a hill over Calistoga - about a 5 minute drive to town. Peter came out and gave us a quick tour of the site and a heads up on some of the local things going on in town for the weekend which were both appreciated. If it's your first trip and you are towing, there are parts of the road where you might say, "I hope those goes to the right spot," or "I really hope I fit..." - but all was good for my sized rig. You need to back in, but there is a loop on the site to get you turned back around for leaving. We are definitely keeping it the list of places to stay when we want to spend the weekend in Napa.

Oroville Lodging and RV was a wonderful stop during our travels. The staff was incredibly friendly, and Emmanuel, our host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s eclectic! Built in the 50s, this place has that retro charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a postcard. My 20-year-old son, my soul-dog, and I spent Labor Day weekend here, and that little dipping pool was a total lifesaver in the brutal heat. We brought our trusty popup camper from the 90s (no AC—she’s a vintage gal), so we went full MacGyver with a shade cover, a napping pad, and two “box” fans. Worked like a charm for a solid nap. When we weren’t pretending to be human popsicles, we played ping pong, cornhole, and enjoyed the slower pace. Walmart, gas, and food right across the street made it super convenient. The highway is close, but it didn’t bother us at all—kind of like grown-up white noise. I’m also terrified of the dark, but here it felt just right: dark enough for an insane star show, but not so dark I thought Bigfoot was lurking. Fishing was the main reason I booked this place, and it delivered. Each site shares a ramp with one other, small but perfect for casting a line or tying up a paddle board. It’s made for relaxing. I did spot a few teenagers looking bored, but I think they were just in the “too cool for fun” stage. Lisa was wonderful—helpful, welcoming, and full of history about the place. We had no issues at all, and I’ll definitely be back!

This is a great camp spot above Calistoga. We love the location and the attention to detail that Peter has put into this welcoming site, including electric and water, lights, table and even an outdoor shower. You can tell he put a lot of love and care into wanting people to love the site as much as he does. Peter met us when we arrived, made sure we could back into the site, gave us a tour and How-to of everything. This is a special place. It gave us space for us to be able to unwind and be part of nature. We will be back!

We loved our 3 night stay at Clear Lake Campground! Lisa was the best and our space by the creek was so picturesque. Peaceful with great birdwatching, a fun little pool, catfish & bass fishing and a games area where we played ping-pong & volleyball. The restrooms were clean and the RV hookups easy. We have enjoyed our stay at this campground along Cache Creek. The sites are well shaded, level and spacious. Full hookups, clean restrooms, refreshing pool (around 3-4 ft deep), playground, pier, and nice common areas make it a great place to relax and enjoy. It is in a convenient location but remains more private. Sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Wood is available for purchase. Definitely recommend.

Lisa is a wonderful campsite host. The location right on Cache Creek is really quite special as is the small docks for water access from your own campsite. The site is good, though it's a little tight in terms of space between sites. Also, be aware that the southernmost sites can be a bit noisy with the roadway nearby.

What a sweet little spot! We loved staying here. Peter has done a wonderful job with this site. It’s a perfect location, tucked away in the trees, and just a few minutes to downtown Calistoga. There’s a picnic table, a Blackstone grill, hot and cold water, and an awesome outdoor shower (our favorite part)! Peter was an excellent host!

Campsites in Napa Valley are few and far between, so we were thrilled to find The Camp Over Napa. Only a short drive from Calistoga, but the campsite is very secluded and private. Perfect for our small travel trailer, but be prepared for sections of the road that are one-lane wide. Really appreciated the design and workmanship of the amenities (including outdoor shower with hot water!) that Peter has added to the site. Expect to be a repeat customer here.

The shower is amazing! Peter even had soap in there.

Weekend Trip to Calistoga Dreaming

We loved camping on Peter’s land. With only one site on the property, it was very private. Jody (his wife) welcomed us shortly after we got there and showed us all of the power switches for the outdoor lights and how to use the shower. We loved the Mountain View’s by day and the lights of Calistoga by night. With Bothe state park so close, we drove into town for a hearty breakfast at Serafornia’s and then headed off to Bothe just a few miles south of town. We came back and took hot showers in Peter’s cleverly made outdoor stall, then settled in for a lovely evening by the chimenea and string lights. The only thing that would have made this better would have been wider roads and an easier way to back in. It was a little tricky for us but once there it was more than worth it. Absolutely beautiful and Peter’s touches show a true appreciation for the land and for camping.
