We have been a family owned RV Park/Campground for over 40 years. This is a very rustic, old-fashioned campground located at the end of a neighborhood next to the river. As mentioned this is also a RV Park so there will be RVs on site. It is an open field campground dispersed with trees. Neighbors will be present. The river access is right over the levee just a few minutes walk from your campsite. Fishing on the river is allowed but you need a license. We are near the woods and river so wildlife is present. Please make sure your food is put away nightly to discourage critters from coming into camp. The campground is just a short drive from a selection of hiking or biking trails. As well as other attractions like the Jet Boat Tours and Trees of Mystery. Located at the end of a glen cell service in this area can be spotty or non existent depending on the carrier. Wifi is available near main house but is limited to emails, messaging and mapping your next adventure. We welcome people of all seasons. Just ask that you are kind and respectful to each other. Well Behaved Pets Are Allowed. Children and Laughter are Always Welcome. We look forward to your visit. August and September there will be fisher persons in the campground. Osprey’s Perch is set up well for serving as a base camp for local activities like hunting, fishing, kayaking, rafting, day hiking, or just spending time on the river at one of the few private access points in existence. Camp is set up in a way that enables you to roast some brussel sprouts, or bake a pie if you so desire. I mean, how many camps offer that! Learn more about this land: Osprey’s perch is a small campsite perched above the Salmon River. The pit toilet is just downhill from the camp at the end of a trail winding down through the meadow and to the right. There is private access to secluded swimming and fishing holes on the lower Salmon River down the meadow trail and to the left. A bridge provides shelter from rain if needed. The area is known for its world class steelhead fishing and is unparalleled in its natural beauty. The elk even stop by occasionally on a late winter/early spring morning if you are lucky enough to get the timing right… I hope you enjoy our most recently additions, tent pads on a nice deep bed of chips, and a dog run for your best friend!

A beautiful 70-acre farm located in the heart of Scott Valley along French Creek, where you can go swimming, but no fishing. Alpine lakes close by in the Russian and Marble Mountain wilderness areas for hiking and fishing. The Pacific Crest trail can be partially hiked from the top of Scott Mt. to our western town of Etna (just 4 miles up the road) established during the gold rush in 1853. My hay fields are being grazed by 20 pairs of cows to replenish the soil at present. I grow organic vegetables and fruit trees, where I welcome my guests to help in the garden. Blackberry picking in the summer is a game to beat the birds! Many species of birds call my farm home. Many heritage apple trees planted by Johnny Appleseed grace my front lawn and lower pasture. Fall is apple picking time. The farm was started in 1926. My 100-year-old haying barn is in the process of being restored, keeping the unique feature of a stream running through it. Quiver, my horse, is the sole occupant with visits from Mr. Cream, the feral cat and my faithful rescue German Shepherd, General Rommel. I am also remodeling the 100-year-old farmhouse with a modern kitchen where soon I will have a cooking school. Relaxing on the lawn swing looking south to the snow-capped mountains of the Trinity Alps wilderness area is a perfect way to end the day!

Come dwarf yourself under the magnificent giant redwoods and be struck with awe by the mesmerizing jade colored Smith River. The property is a mere 20 minutes from some of the world's tallest trees. Come check out Stout Grove, a rarely crowded gem of the Redwood National and State Parks. The grove is a part of Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park which is the least developed and most impressive park of the four. From your campsite you will have a lovely view of a large bend of the Smith River. It boasts impressive runs of chinook and steelhead, and is host to many other native species. Keep an eye out for bear, mink, and otters! And secure any food or attractants at night. Our property gives you the chance to disconnect from daily life and recalibrate. Use our site as an extended getaway for some peace and quiet, or a launch point to the variety of local attractions.

The Klamath River Fish Camp

Park your van, Rv or pitch a tent or camp inside the 12x12 canvas Kodiak tent with the wood stove. 10minute walk or 3 minute drive to the river bar for fishing swimming or water sports or just relaxing by the water. Perfect base camp for all your redwood adventures. Nestled in the middle of the redwood forest. Quiet and secluded. Land is a work in progress. Klamath’s best kept secret

We have been a family owned RV Park/Campground for over 40 years. This is a very rustic, old-fashioned campground located at the end of a neighborhood next to the river. As mentioned this is also a RV Park so there will be RVs on site. It is an open field campground dispersed with trees. Neighbors will be present. The river access is right over the levee just a few minutes walk from your campsite. Fishing on the river is allowed but you need a license. We are near the woods and river so wildlife is present. Please make sure your food is put away nightly to discourage critters from coming into camp. The campground is just a short drive from a selection of hiking or biking trails. As well as other attractions like the Jet Boat Tours and Trees of Mystery. Located at the end of a glen cell service in this area can be spotty or non existent depending on the carrier. Wifi is available near main house but is limited to emails, messaging and mapping your next adventure. We welcome people of all seasons. Just ask that you are kind and respectful to each other. Well Behaved Pets Are Allowed. Children and Laughter are Always Welcome. We look forward to your visit. August and September there will be fisher persons in the campground. So be warned of early morning engine noise as they head out to the river for fishing. Electric cars that want to charge there is a $10 fee at time of service. Must make arrangements ahead of a time because 50 amp services are limited. Plus you need to bring your own adapters.

Privacy: Enjoy complete privacy with no nearby neighbors. Nature Trails: Explore the surrounding river and woods. Wildlife: Spot deer, birds, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Campfire: Gather around the campfire ring for an evening of stargazing and storytelling. Amenities Fire Ring: A designated fire ring for safe and enjoyable campfires. Picnic Table: A picnic table and umbrella for your dining convenience. Portable Toilet: A clean portable toilet with camping bag will be provided. (carry out bag) Water Source: Fresh water available from a nearby well and spring (bring your own containers). ACCESSIBILITY Our property gate is off the main road by 4 miles on a dirt road. Our driveway is an additional 1 mile of steep dirt road. A 2wd vehicle will have no problem accessing our property. The road down to the campsite can be accessed partially or fully in 2wd, however 4wd is recommended. If you choose to park halfway down you can walk the rest or we can help transport gear in our vehicle. The Salmon River watershed is among the cleanest in the world. There are plenty of hiking trails and beautiful places to experience. Osprey’s Perch is set up well for serving as a base camp for local activities like hunting, fishing, kayaking, rafting, day hiking, or just spending time on the river at one of the few private access points in existence. Camp is set up in a way that enables you to roast some brussel sprouts, or bake a pie if you so desire. I mean, how many camps offer that! The commercial gas range also serves as a great backup when fire restrictions are in effect! I hope you enjoy your stay and if you have any questions please reach out! Learn more about this land: Osprey’s perch is a small campsite perched above the Salmon River. The pit toilet is just downhill from the camp at the end of a trail winding down through the meadow and to the right. There is private access to secluded swimming and fishing holes on the lower Salmon River down the meadow trail and to the left. A bridge provides shelter from rain if needed. The area is known for its world class steelhead fishing and is unparalleled in its natural beauty. The elk even stop by occasionally on a late winter/early spring morning if you are lucky enough to get the timing right… I hope you enjoy our most recently additions, tent pads on a nice deep bed of chips, and a dog run for your best friend!
