Thunder Mountain Private River Camp

2 sites · RVs, Tents81 acres · Caddo Gap, AR
80+ acres all to yourself!! This beautiful and very secluded property, with river, kayaks, trails, and creeks is offered to only one group at a time to ensure peace, quiet, and seclusion. No other guests will overlap your stay. You will enjoy the peaceful solitude in nature completely alone! It's a great location for romantic getaways, silent personal retreats, yoga, playing in the river, or just spending quiet one-on-one time with your spouse or significant other. The last 1/2 mile of dirt road is sometimes rough, so cars with low ground clearance are not recommended. Campers on Thunder Mountain enjoy the entire property, including the unique outdoor bathhouse with outdoor tub and shower, amazing multi-level decks, kayaks, grill, trails, hammocks, and tubes - without the cost of the cabin. The cabin will be vacant during camping stays, but you can still enjoy the WiFi and other amenities outside. ($30-90/night camping; $190-280/night cabin - listed separately) Last minute bookings may have discounted rates. Camping bookings for 1 to 2 nights are sometimes available even if the calendar does not show due to cabin cleaning days. We'll try to move our cleaning days around to help you out if possible. If you see a price of $999, that is a date that can be opened up for you at a low price ($30-50) but will have some restrictions on check-in or check-out time. Just ask!

Camp Ouachitaj Mahal

4 sites · RVs1 acre · Hot Springs, AR
Come watch the total solar eclipse over beautiful Lake Catherine, nestled in the lovely Ouachita Mountains. Our property is on Spencer Bay of Lake Catherine just outside Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. It is conveniently located 12 miles off of I-30. Easy access to golf courses, Gulpha Creek, local parks, state parks, national forests, Garvan Gardens, Oaklawn race track and casino, historic Bathhouse Row, and many other attractions. Public boat ramps are available in nearby parks, and this area has all of the fishing opportunities you could want. We do not have a dock or ramp on our property, but guests are welcome to put in at one of the public ramps, boat up, and tie off at our shore. Smaller boats, canoes, and kayaks which can be carried without a trailer can put in in front of our trailer. The site is grass parking between two roads, so you can pull through. The site recently had a mobile home on it, so there is a sewer inlet there. I have not put in any adapters to connect RV's, but you are welcome to connect it if you have fittings to do so. We do have one 30 amp outlet, but it is on the adjacent lot and would require an extension cord specific to an RV outlet. Our family has an adjacent property with a mobile home right on the shore. Pictures of the lake were taken from that shore. Our place is between camp sites and the shore, so the view of the lake is not unobstructed. Guests are welcome to join us on the shore to fish, use the fire pit, or just enjoy the lake. The area is more private than a state park, but there is a locals' bar directly adjacent to our property. It is not open for business at the time of this listing, but it could reopen in the future. When it is open, there is a steady but surpisingly quiet trickle of regulars in and out of the bar's parking lot. I have noted its location in some of the photos. Patrons are only loud when the Razorbacks score, which is unfortunately not very often. During the eclipse, we will be on-site and will have a makeshift outdoor kitchen with a fish/dish cleaning table and a camp stove table. We do not have a bath house at this time.
