Karla's Hummingbird Guest Ranch

6 sites · RVs, Tents8 acres · Huachuca City, AZ
Welcome to Karla's Hummingbird Guest Ranch! My private horse property is located in the Sky Islands area of South Eastern Arizona. I have 2 horses and lots of local birds hang out here. I offer 2 full hook-up spaces, one space is covered. Power is 50 AMPS! An RV must be under 12' to fit under the cover. I offer 3 dry camping options. You can book the new Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. The Shady Rest is weather-proof. The other cabana has a shade fabric top and it has a fire pit. There is a restroom/breakfast room off the pool area. The pool and pool house are available for your enjoyment. The pool house can also be used as a bedroom if weather is poor. I also have walking trails here. This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff. I have WiFi and great cell service here. You may have coffee with my horses if you like. There is a place to sit in the barn. They will munch hay and look at you. If you would like to feed them just ask me and I will show you what they can have. You may also sit by the arena and watch horses. Please feel free to walk around and enjoy the property! At night you will hear coyotes, you might see javilina. I've seen a bobcat a few times. There are lots of birds and some rabbits. I share it with the local wildlife. I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10. My place is 10 minutes from Coronado National Forest. The property is tranquil, peaceful, and quiet. We have beautiful sunsets and views all around. I supply the music, the resident Cactus Wrens, quail and assorted songbirds will sing to you all day long. You will see a lot of quail and other birds on the property. There are 2 varieties of quail who visit daily. And you will see Desert Cardinals, Cactus Wrens, Curved Billed Thrashers and all the song birds. My neighbours and I all have 4 acres minimum so no one is super close by. You can come here, walk or bike around, and walk your pets without being bothered by other dogs. This is a very safe and comfortable place for solo campers and families to enjoy! My ranch has a friendly, family-style vibe. This is staying at your friend's place. (unless your friends are losers.) Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available for your use. Each tent, and/or a place where people sleep is a campsite....in other words you can't book 1 tent camping site and then add your friends who come in their vehicle and set up a campsite. That is 2 campsites Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times when using the pool area. This included going to and from the restroom. Important! Please don't post any photos of my place on my listing or in your review. I can't remove them. I don't need photos of Tombstone or your dog on my listing. Thank you!

Wild Oak Wilderness

7 sites · Tents40 acres · Elfrida, AZ
Learn more about this land: Dust off your cowboy boots and come pitch a tent on this starlit rugged terrain. This property is something special, a fenced in area on a real western ranch. Say howdy to the cows on your way in and say goodbye to the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy the peace and quiet or saddle up and check out the local tourist attractions. Just a stones throw from historic Tombstone and the OK Corral and just around the bend from Bisbee and the copper queen mine; an old mining town with a new fangled twist. This slice of paradise is up high lonesome road off of Gleeson road. Follow high lonesome rd for a couple miles and then go through the white painted steel push gate. Some times the ranch dogs are loose and they bark and act scary but they won’t do anything. Just ignore them if they are there(it’s not too common). Continue on that road until a slight right down a steep incline onto silver bill rd. There is one more slight right to remain on silver bill rd and then you should be home free. Follow the road down the hill. Our gate is where silver bill rd. dead ends on the left hand side. It’s best to have the gps route pre loaded while you still have a strong signal before you get out there. Have a serene stay!

Vineyard Hipcamp

10 sites · RVs, Tents36 acres · Mc Neal, AZ
Our first introduction to the wine and vineyard industry came when a now fellow colleague greeted us wearing a t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. Thoroughly enjoying the idea of wearing this “work suit” every day, High Lonesome Vineyard went from a concept to reality. Located only 20 miles east of Tombstone, Arizona and 8 miles southwest of Elfrida, Arizona, High Lonesome Vineyard consists of approximately 36 acres of rich sandy loam in a fertile valley surrounded by mountains on all directions. And at an elevation of about 4,300 feet, the area experiences a four-season climate with summer temperatures seldom exceeding 100 degrees. Hikers, bird watchers and nature loving folks come to this area every year just for the warm summer breezes and clear night skies. This area also boasts of spectacular views of the early morning rising sun and incredible sunsets.  Come enjoy rustic camping here in the Vineyard Hipcamp area and experience the awesomeness that southeastern Arizona has to offer.Learn more about this land:Come camp next to a working vineyard with exceptional views of the desert sky.  You pick your spot as long as it is not directly in the vineyard, and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil sounds of the desert wildlife. High Lonesome Vineyard is located about 20 miles southeast of Tombstone, Arizona and 8 miles west of Elfrida, Arizona. You can easily commute to Tombstone to see the legends of the old west or drive on over to Elfrida/Gleeson area and see the old mining ghost towns. If active mining is your thing, visit Bisbee which is only 25 minutes away. Also, with a working cattle ranch nearby, take the opportunity to visit and see the daily workings of one of southeast Arizona's biggest ranches. A visit to the ranch is for a nominal fee and subject to availability. Wine tastings are also available for a small fee in addition to the camping fee. We have 6 German Shepherds that do what they do as guard dogs, bark when alerted. We take extra steps to keep the dogs quite for you at night during your stay, but its a high probability they will bark at you.
