Our location is mid-way between Ash Fork and Seligman, AZ off of Route 66. It is pristine juniper covered land in every direction at 5200'+ elevation with incredible Northwest Arizona mountain and valley views. If you're looking to enjoy the off-grid camping experience, come stay a night or 2 on "The 40 on Rte. 66." During new moon times, the sky is full of stars and the Milky Way is easily visible. During full moon times, the trees and ground are lit up in all directions. Sightings of deer and jackrabbits are common as well as hearing coyotes in the distance. Being open range land, the cattle will wander into sight. Various cacti and desert plants around the campsites. Nearby Route 66 attractions include Ash Fork, Seligman and Williams. Grand Canyon National Park is approx. 1.5 hours away. We are along the longest remaining un-interrupted section of Route 66. We have several improved camp sites to make your stay easier; however, there are plenty of unmarked and unimproved areas within the Hipcamp area for you to stay. Sunset skies at this location are incredible. There are several roads that make for perfect trails as you step out of your tent/camper. Plus, its a stone's throw off Route 66. Lovely hosts too!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Retreat on 3 Acres!

We had a great experience overall! Christine was flexible and understanding when we needed to change the dates of our stay. My daughter really enjoyed the property, especially the tire swing and hammock. It was a bit odd to us having a host on the property and around so much but Bill was helpful and friendly! Would recommend refinishing the benches and barstools on the deck as the wood was chipping in areas and could cause splinters. Some cushions on the benches would also add some more comfort but overall the deck was great for entertaining and relaxing. The inside was cozy and clean, had just the right amount of supplies for our stay. My daughter asked when we could go back before we even left, so we are looking forward to staying again sometime. Highly recommend!

4 nights at Creekside Retreat on 3 Acres!

This house is a wonderful base for exploring the Sedona area. It’s convenient to CottonWood, Camp Verde, the Village of Oak Creek, and anywhere in Sedona, which is just within a 30-minute drive away. The deck and creekside are my favorite spots—we enjoyed breakfast by the water in the mornings, and after a full day of exploring, we relaxed on the deck in the evening, cooking dinner and sipping tea or coffee. It felt so peaceful and cozy. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the property has BBQ grills both in the yard and on the deck, along with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The host also provides plenty of privacy, making the place feel like your own. If I return to Sedona, I would absolutely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to 1/2 Glamp - 1/2 Camp - 100% Relax.

We had such a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly friendly and responded quickly to any questions, which made everything great. The campsite itself was absolutely beautiful! peaceful and surrounded by nature. Lots of trinkets and tools for use. A lot of wildlife in the area. Many coyotes at night but did not bother us or come that close. The site feels secluded but also conveniently close to town, so we had the best of both worlds. We also really appreciated the generous amount of firewood provided, which made our evenings around the fire even better! The road to the campsite is a little rough but could be cause of the rain. I highly recommend this spot. Lots of good hiking around the area like Tonto national park. Thanks Paul!

The land owners Edwin and Mike are very friendly and hospitable, they were kind enough to bring us 3 20 lb bags of ice when we ran out. The campground was very nice , all of the campsites are covered in wood chip which makes it nice the land is very well maintained. It was very peaceful and very quiet and we know that we will return again in the future.

First off, we decided we needed a quick getaway, and with very short notice Edwin was able to fit us in! Very cool. The drive was scenic, and WOW,its THEE Route 66!! I wish we had taken more pics of the campground, but I was mostly out exploring, connecting with nature. My husband was busy relaxing and he is more comfortable behind the camera than in front. The place had a serene feel, CALMING. The air was clean and clear. The weather was perfect, the wind was soo invigorating! At night we saw falling stars, and so many stars!! Even some satellites! AND we heard coyotes howling, it was just like a movie! If you need a respite to recharge your life battery, we would definitely recommend "the 40 on Route 66". It was wonderful! This Hipcamp dealio is really convenient

Really a lovely piece of the outdoors & grateful for the listing. Well maintained gravel rd up to camp. Juniper grove made for a cozy site & blocked the occasional gusts. Will be back!
