Weekend Trip to Parksland Retreat
Dustin's land is absolutely beautiful. We camped at FF3 hollow (yurt), it was well secluded and has a waterfront. This was an amazing experience! Only downfall I would warn future guests is, there is a hike down to the camp sites. As someone not in shape, it took my breath away each time we had to hike back up to the parking area. We will most definitely return but we will not be camping at the bottom of the hill next time.

We had an amazing time camping here! It was a wonderful and new experience for both of us — being without clothes truly helped us connect with nature in a beautiful way. Dustin was so kind and welcoming the entire time, and everyone there made us feel like part of a big family. We will definitely be coming back!

I can’t say enough positive things about the experience of staying on Dustin‘s land. The campsite we stayed in was isolated enough to make you feel like you were by yourself. The common facilities that Dustin shared with his guests made the trip really worthwhile. He has a 2 mile hiking trail on the property that’ll provide you with solitude and a good exercise opportunity. The creek offered a good cold plunge for after the hike. Dustin is a very gracious host. I can’t wait to return.

Parksland Retreat was so great again. The hot tub was amazingly done and nice for my first time. It was a great start to the weekend to get to know everyone and set the vibes for the rest of the time. And I cannot stress how great the sauna is. It eased my stressed muscles from the days trail hiking and swimming. If you're hesitating to go because its clothing optional, dont. It's so welcoming and the friendliest campsite in Alabama. You'll only regret why you didn't go sooner.
Make sure not to bring to many items if you're camping at the two creekside locations. I learned the hard way and I don't want you to end up like me.
Protip: keep your cooler at your car and have a secondary cooler to take down to your campsite.

This was the perfect trip to the most beautiful well kept space! Dustin was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I definitely would like to come back. This is a beautiful property with beautiful views, swimming and friendly people.
When camping a P2 pack as light as possible. It is a steep and far trip if you are having a lot of heavy things.
We packed food, equipment for 9 people and a glamping tent. Wouldn’t do that again! We are very out of shape too though!
Out of all the campsites we saw I did like ours the best. It was close to potable water and a compost toilet. We enjoyed being further away from the other campsites and had privacy.

This was our third time staying at Parksland, and our first time at P3. P3 is very secluded, but it is a bit of a hike. If you travel light and don't mind a long journey downhill and then uphill on the way back, you will do fine.
We definitely got a lot of exercise. We stayed for two nights, and were able to get our stuff to/from in two trips. It is very quiet and peaceful. We were able to see a lot of butterflies!

I always look forward to my Parksland trips! This was the first time I did yurt camping and the bed was so comfy!
They were hosting a Fall Equinox Celebration, so there were plenty of fun activities included like morning yoga, a bonfire, a sauna session, and a cacao drink ceremony by the fire. The shower was so relaxing!
Tip: Just remember, if you haul something down the hill, you have to haul it back up.
