Trout, muskie, grayling, salmon…they’re all here! Rent a boat on the lake or bring your own. You might even spot a moose on your way to the boat ramp! If you’re not a fisherman (or enjoying a partnering fisherman’s bounty), you can soak in the peace of being on the water and the ample opportunities for viewing wildlife, not to mention plenty of other wilderness activities. Just don’t plan on making business calls while you’re there; cell phone reception is limited at the site.

The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or over night travel stop 30 miles from LARAMIE, WY, I80, WY 130, US 287 and Co 125. 2.5 miles from Woodslanding on WY 230. Depending on the time of year there are various outdoor activities nearby to enjoy. Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing. There are Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, Snowy Range Down Hill Ski Area all with in a 60 mile radius. There is public access to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs along side it. Saratoga, WY, natural Hot Springs are about 90 miles West and makes for a beautiful drive. Snowy Range Mountain offers a down hill ski area, trails for hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. Star gazing from the Little Cabin or Gazebo is amazing. There is no light pollution which allows a view of the stars some have never seen.

We are located 4 miles from Routt National Forest. You'll arrive at the ranch headquarters and we will either take you to the sheep wagon or give you directions to it. The sheep wagon is nestled in an Aspen grove (on 56 acres) with a creek just 12 feet away. From there, you are 1/4 mile away from the national forest and the wilderness. There are thousands of acres to explore, either by hiking , biking or horseback riding. You are also just minutes away from great trout fishing lakes and streams. While here ask about ranch tours and visiting with our sheep, horses, cows and chickens! There will be cattle or sheep on the property with the sheep wagon. Please note that cell phone service is very limited in the area.

There is a liability waiver copied at the bottom, by booking you are acknowledging and agreeing to that contract. You'll have the opportunity to interact with these majestic animals, feeding them, haltering them, brushing them, and even cleaning their stalls. These massive animals are a sight to behold, and you'll have the opportunity to feed them treats, move their grazing pasture, and ensure they have fresh water. You'll help feed and water them, collect eggs (you'll go home with a half dozen, with more available for purchase), and clean their coop.
