Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
35 acres with access off highway 40, 30 amp electrical hookup available, 15 miles to Steamboat Springs and the 20 miles to the ski resort. Property is directly across from yampa river and the nature conservatory land. Welding fabrication shop based on property but we are happy to help with any repairs .
Large flat meadows in the front by the highway with wolf creek and trails on the west side of the property. Just a short 7 mile drive to Hayden and the Yampa Valley AirportNice large flat spot for rvs and tents, easy access from highway 40 with plenty of space in the field for privacy, depending on needs.
Great River, canyon and cliff views from anywhere on the property. Eagles and osprey flying over the river with deer and elk on the property frequently make for a beautiful setting but close to town

We stayed in our camper van to ski at steamboat and Taylor’s place was perfect for what we needed. About 20 minutes away from the resort. Taylor was quick to respond with any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Good view of the mountains and river. Not too far of a drive to steamboat. Hosts leave you alone and pretty mountain countryside.

Fine as a place to sleep
Good as a pit stop when you just need a place to sleep, but not great if you want to actually enjoy camping. This site is behind what appears to be a welding shop, so there's lots of random machinery on the property.
It also isn't well signed and the host wasn't communicative, so we ended up just parking our trailer in a random spot because we couldn't find the fire pit when we arrived at night.

Worst Hipcamp site I’ve ever seen
Tent
For $50 this was a crummy place. No host.
Camping spot was not marked hard to access through tall grass. No facility ( not even a portapotty) road noise at night from Hwy 40.
No obvious trash receptacle. Junky grounds all about.

Private campsite with a fire pit and little patio. Taylor also keeps a wood scrap pile nearby for burning too. Just beware that the grass is pretty tall so a few mosquitos around. The fire smoke and bug spray kept them at bay though, so no real issue. Beautiful views of the hills around!
