As your host, (Kim) I offer a small field for camping which is attached to my 1800s farmhouse to enjoy. We are on the side of a Mountain, in West Virginia. Almost heaven! Come stay in my field with your tent or truck camper or small RV. I can give you some electricity with an extension cord, and some cold well water via a hose. I will offer you all the hospitality you need or none at all! I am on the mountain just up the road from the Bluestone River. You can drop your four-wheeler off of your trailer and take off down the country roads to access the Hatfield McCoy trail system.
The views and scenery are fantastic!
Come be my guest. I would truly love to have you! This is a working small farm.
I have an abundance of wildlife here in the area. Local deer love to come nibble on the apples and pears. There could be bears, bobcats, rabbits, foxes, birds, bees, eagles, coyotes, and the occasional human. Location is near the road so that four-wheeling equipment can be pulled in, the campsite is nearby on the edge of the forest.
NOTE: You may hear cars, other 4-wheelers, cows mooing, goats baaa-ing, roosters crowing, chickens clucking, ducks quacking, dogs barking, and children playing, but overall will experience a serene mountain environment.
Coming soon... Glamping!

in Rewild Wilder at Willowwood, West VirginiaRewild ârelaxing
This was our second stay at Rewild Wilder at Willowood. I did not think it could top our first wild and wonderful visit, but yes indeed it surely did! This time there were other campers at the other campsite on property. They did not hear us and we did not hear them. They were a very cool couple with a young child. I enjoyed chatting with them by the river, watching their little one enjoy Mother Nature. That is what I love about hipcampâ itâs the people you meet, who also share their love of the outdoors. So, even though there were other guests, It was the same beautiful private oasis that we experienced on the last booking. There is plenty of room and Jonathan has really made each area at Rewild an experience inside of another experience. I feel very welcomed and instantly comfortable with the place. This recent stay, we had more time to tour the sustainable homestead. I loved every second of the tour! From the sweet goats to the organic garden to Jonathanâs handcrafted rustic furniture âit all had me wanting to know more and become totally off grid like Jonathan is. This visit Jonathan shared some of his organic cabbage, at dinner time. Yum! We fried it over the fire pit in a cast iron pan with butter, bacon and kielbasa. On the side we had biscuits, also cooked over the fire. I donât know what effect cooking over a fire does, but it was the best meal I have eaten in a very long time. We topped it off with a toast of dandelion wine to new found friends. My husband, Jonathan and I chatted about herbs and plants. It was very easy to be able to relax and forget about the rest of the crazy world. I think we all do need a break from this. So, the next day we soaked in a pool at the creek. The clear mountain water was cool and refreshing. The cold water made my joints and muscles feel so much better. I must say, these experiences are like little sparkling gems that are so unexpected, but looked back at so fondly by me. Life is good, and I guaranteed life at Rewild will leave you happy, rested and yes, even fulfilled. My husband and I will be coming back regularly. WV river life is something everyone should experience once in their life, but in my case I feel like I want to experience it again and again! Why the heck not!? Thank you Jonathan for another stellar stay. I truly canât want for the next time!

in Rewild Wilder at Willowwood, West VirginiaMagical oasis - fantastic host- wow
My husband and I booked this spot because we often do the Pence Springs Fleamarket. We expected to pitch our tent squeezed in somewhere near the river and have no privacy BUT--- little did we know we would had this totally magical spot near a bubbling cool creek, with a 1-minute stroll (on the property) to the Greenbrier River. AH-Mazing. We had access to the cabin for the bathroom, kitchen, and shower, which was SO appreciated by me. I am a host of a hipcamp here in WV, and so I was looking forward to meeting another host and having a chat about farming, gardening, and, of course, goats! Well, Jonathan did not disappoint! He was polite, attentive, and generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and before we left, we booked another weekend because we did not want to leave! If you are looking for both a relaxing and interesting stay-- book here! I would love to keep this place a secret, so I can just book all the days, but I think all folks should experience this West Virginia wonderland as well. I cannot wait to return!
5 gold shining stars!
