Welcome to Barker Gap! Opened in August 2024 we offer 3 beautifully shaded rv/camper spots, 2 pull thru spots and 1 back in. We have NO size or slide out restrictions, our spots were built with your comfort in mind. All spots come standard with 50A/30A/110 electric hookup, city water, Bbq/park grill, stone fire pit and sewage hookup at every campsite. Wi-Fi is also included for all campers. At this time we do not have bathrooms available to tent camping or any primitive style camping. The BEAR'S DEN cabin is a 1 room 1 bathroom cabin. Built to sleep 4 with a spacious queen bed perfect for falling asleep on, a cozy twin bed for reading/sleeping, and stowed under the twin bed is an adventure cot for that outside nap on the deck. The cabin is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave) inverter. In the bathroom we have a metal wrapped 22" deep soaking tub equipped with a rainfall shower head to wash the stress away. No glamping cabin would be complete without a wave activated hand dryer a 43" Wi-Fi connected smart TV and the latest plug ins with USB ports included so you can forget that charging box at home. Coffee, bedding, towels, bar soap, provided. So what are you waiting for? It's time to camp!

This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive mountain terrain (rocky). The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Individual campsites DO NOT have onsite toilets. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items. Variety of small wildlife in the area. Brian was very responsive, super accommodating, and the space was clean, beautiful and just what we needed! Our friends had a camper and we got Bears Den cabin bc we don’t so it was perfect. The check out day was the prettier day and he let us hang and not rush. It was very much appreciated and he was one of the best hosts with communication! Thanks Brian!

We enjoyed our stop at Heavener Runestone Park. The terrain is hilly and scenic. Our highlight was watching the sun set from the scenic overlook. The amenities are a bit faded, but functional. This was a comfortable place to spend the night on our way south. It was fun to learn about this odd bit of history, too!

Folks, I can't recommend Barker Gap and Brian enough. I just completed a couple day stay in Site 1 (just me and my dog), and the grounds were immaculately kept and very spacious, the scenery was gorgeous and the hospitality shown by the host (Brian) was off the charts. If you're visiting Brian's neck of the woods, stay in one of his cabins or do like I did and set up the ol' glamper in one of their 3 RV sites. I make you this promise... you won't regret it. Can't wait to come back, wife in tow this time.

The wife and I loved staying here in our RV. The sites are nice, wide and level. Nothing more you could ask for in a campsite. Very close to Buckhorn trails with lots of riding straight from camp. The hosts are the best! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area or planning to ride Buckhorn.

My family and I loved tent camping here! The views were beautiful! We were at site #8, it was very pretty and peaceful. Lots of trees for nice shade and great spot for a hammock. There even happened to be a big event at the overlook one of the days we were there, but there was still enough separation that it wasn’t too loud and we still felt like we had our privacy. The Runestone didn’t disappoint! We thought it was cool. We really enjoyed hiking the trails too.

I had an amazing stay at Sara’s farm. The property is huge, and I loved being able to choose any spot I wanted for camping. The friendly animals like horses, cows, and alpacas made the whole experience feel extra special and surprisingly relaxing. There’s a small pond on the land that reflected the clouds and sunset in a beautiful way. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and would love to come back again.

Watching the sunset at this location was breathtaking! The campsite, restroom, grounds, and gift shop were clean and well maintained. Everyone there was friendly and very informative. We came for an educational event that was fun and well organized. My family loved every moment of our stay from hiking, seeing the runestone, and tent camping!

The campsite was absolutely lovely! The forest felt more like the Black Hills, SD. I had no idea Oklahoma could look like this. It was SO peaceful I could've been 100 miles from civilization, yet Hevener was nestled beautifully in the valley below. Hearing those spooky train horns every hour or so was neat-my boy couldn't get enough! The short hike to the runestone was fun, and that sweet young lady in the gift shop went outta her way for our yard game. What a cozy Oklahoma spot! Terrain was a bit rough and steep and rocky so be advised.
