Great little piece of land. It had lots of little things other places don’t have, like hammocks and floats for the creek. Access to the swimming hole and pebble beach are down some pretty steep embankments, but there are ropes there to pull yourself up, if you’re so inclined. The shelter over the picnic bench was nice too, though rain wasn’t a factor for me. I didn’t time it, but it’s about a 60-90 second walk from the parking area to the campsite. Carlos has a cart there for hauling your stuff to the site. Instead of making 4 trips carrying things, I made it in just one trip with the cart. Wanting peace and quiet on my solo trip, I was a little concerned about road noise due to the proximity to the road. It ended up being a non-issue for me, as the road was sparsely traveled during the day, and almost no overnight traffic (that I noticed!).

One of the best campsites we have been to so far. Back in the woods nestled on the side of a hill with a view of the ravine and creek. We loved that it was the only site on the property and was very private. Having a campsite stick out is hard because they are a lot of times very similar, but the large fire ring, trash bag lift, wood chopping logs, plenty of flat tent spots, and great view really make this place stand out. We can’t wait to come back and explore more. Thanks for hosting us

We had the most relaxing time on our one night camp out. Love this camp ground, we felt like we were staying on a friend's property. She is so kind and welcoming. It was a great night to decompress and refresh. Can't wait to stay longer!!

The owner was marvelous. You could just tell she wanted you to enjoy her space as much as she did. There was a pollinator garden (we need so many more of these), Monarchs everywhere, a trail through some woods, fire rings and a porta potty.
What more do you need? Well apart from a tent.
Will 100% stay again and 100% recommend if rustic is your bag.

Site 9 was absolutely serene. From the drive in all the way to the site. Peaceful, nostalgic, timeless. A beautiful spot away from the rest. I hung my hammock and just let go of the whole world. Plenty of room for the truck, tents if you had a few, and the picnic table was great to setup on.

I love that this campground is close enough that I can get here before dark on Friday after work. I had one of those weeks when I said to myself "I need to go sit by myself in the woods." And that's what I did.
This morning I woke up before dawn and could see some of the stars peeking through the tree canopy. Fortunately for me, there was no one camped at the Meadow View site. So I took my coffee over there to sit on the wooden bench near the meadow and admired the Orion constellation before the sun came up. I was greeted by the day with sightings of deer, squirrels, birds, and a gentle sunrise. Came home feeling grounded and restored. ❤️

We enjoyed the large campsite and the peaceful environment at the Pleasant Valley Farm. We appreciated the availability of flush toilets and potable water in the barn, as well as having firewood for purchase. It was a good experience and we plan on returning again! Jim and his wife are friendly, welcoming, and helpful hosts!

10 m pop-up camper
There is nothing not to love about #5 Woodside at Pleasant Valley Farm! Jim was there to greet us, even though we arrived near dark. Firewood was offered, directions to the site were given, and the signage was clear but unobtrusive. Once at #5 Woodside, we gazed upon a small meadow ringed in trees, featuring natural beauty and seclusion, along with a picnic table, a stone fire ring, and a perfect spot for our pop-up. The Saturday walkabout revealed old farm buildings, a lovely, large pond, and walking paths deep into the trees. It was a near-perfect day cooled by an evening shower. I hesitate to let all you Hipcampers know how nice this place is for fear that I will not be able to get it again. If you are in the Mansfield, Lucas, Lexington, Ohio area looking for a peaceful camp away from the state park, this is it.

Weekend Trip to The Turkey Hollow Campground
A beautiful and quiet place, would definitely recommend staying here! The cabin was clean and cozy. I would recommend parking near the first campground where the wood is and not by your cabin unless you have 4wheel drive because the hill is quite steep. I definitely plan to stay here again!

This campsite is GORGEOUS. Acres of land to wander, multiple great sites for hammocks and tents. Incredibly secluded, far from the owners' house and tons of trees for privacy. The stream was mostly dry thanks to the recent drought, but we still managed to get water for emergency fire extinguishing. There were a couple benches, a good table, a really nice fire ring, and even a little shovel (the site is truly primitive, you might need that shovel). We could hear Route 62, but it was quiet overnight and the sleeping was excellent. 10/10 will book again!

Beautiful location and quiet (with the exception of the Canadian geese that landed on the pond at 11pm). Scenic and well maintained. Richard and Ruby (their retriever) were very nice and quick to respond on Hipcamp. I don't think there was a bad site to camp, trails for hiking, not too far out of town but far enough to be secluded. Can't wait to go out again!

Our stay at Little Site in the Big Woods was awesome. The hosts were very friendly and responsive when we had questions. There were a few nice trails on site and plenty of space to explore on the farm. Our site was very clean with plenty of room and privacy.

The treehouse was fantastic and a fun place to stay. The hosts have thought of the details, such as stove, coffee maker (even some ground coffee), lights, chairs and hammocks, to name a few.
Some challenges we had, but may not be an issue for others. The treehouse is steps from a road that gets some traffic, not too bad except for really loud side x sides. There was a nearby event so side x side traffic was extra. Also it’s wasps season (late summer )and they like the house. Hosts spray but there’s only so much you can do.
Even with the challenges we’d stay here again.

The perfect spot for a night of camping. The raised pad for our tent was perfect! Plenty of fire wood provided, and the hosts were so welcoming. We’d recommend stopping by Wool & Vine winery during your stay - just a short drive down county road. We’d love to come back!

I loved staying McIntosh Pines. It was a peaceful and private area with plenty of room to walk and hike around. Also, I had an issue that Chad graciously helped me. Would love to come back.
