We loved camping at this site! I was initially concerned with height and the ability to get a 50 ft combined rig back there. However, everything was super spacious and will maintained. It's a fantastic site. Absolutely beautiful, words do not do it justice. This is probably our favorite of all the Hipcamp sites we have stayed in. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to A Notch Above-RV Riverside Campsite

We had an amazing time at A Notch Above. It was us and our friends at the site next to us. It was perfect for buddy camping. We had sites 2 and 3. Our campers faced the river and ir was a beautiful view. We were fortunate enough to see multiple bald eagles and many other birds. Watching the different barges and boats mo e up and down the river was another nice thing about camping at Randy's place. Randy is a very nice, helpful host. I would definitely recommend A Notch Above if you are looking for scenic views and relaxation.

Weekend Trip to A Notch Above-RV Riverside Campsite

What a great location and beautiful site. The entrance looks tricky but worked out perfectly. We enjoyed the river, bardges, bald eagles and looking at the stars. Some things to note the road behind you is close and there is some road noise but it didn't bother us. There is a porta potty on site in the middle but it was clean and did not smell. Randy was available when needed and even checked in to make sure we arrived ok. Will return

The site was very level and spacious. The firepit was located right by the river. We sat there every night with a fire and watched the barges go by. My only negative was the septic hookup. I have never delt with one that was sideways out of the ground. It backed up and leaked gray tank water all over so I was not able to completely empty my tank.

My daughter and I had a great weekend getaway together at Fruitdale Farm! Aimee is an excellent host and our stay was so peaceful. A much needed break from the chaos of life. We stayed at the fern cabin site and it was so nicely done! So excited to book again sometime soon!

The Hideaway cabin & surrounding land was very comfortable, quiet, & relaxing. The directions were easy to understand and the mowed grass walking paths were invaluable. The lake is a short walk down the lane and there is a hiking path entrance at that same location. We had a geeat time. Thank you!

Nice and quiet camping spot (#1) by a creek. It isn’t realistically accessible from the campsite but I am sure it’s easy enough to find a spot to get in/out. Nice and flat spot for shelter and two very nice hosts. There is no table/picnic table on site so just be prepared. Not an issue but something to know before arriving.

Love the Shack!!! This property is so cute!! The pond is so fun to fish and watch the carp eat. The cabin is adorable and secluded. We love that the lake is so close, it's basically a lake house cabin! We don't often go back to places but this was our second trip here and we'll probably be back!!

I loved setting up right on the water's edge. The site is big enough for a family reunion so I was able to spread out. Took my GSD and he was pretty relaxed, which is unusual. We had a group of 10 with 3 tents and it worked out wonderfully! It’s close enough to Cinci for a one night trip and far enough away to be quiet and see the stars. There was a live band the night we were there that we could hear very well from our site. I advise checking the music schedule before booking! Will definitely book again! We all had a great time!

With one canoe livery within two miles of us (Little Miami Canoe), you can drop your canoe or kayak in upstream and make your campsite a pit stop before getting picked up downstream by their shuttles. You can also rent a tube from us and go up and down our property or hang out on your tube anchored by the beach. We can also shuttle you upstream on Saturdays and Sundays. You can hike on our property to get scenic views of the Little Miami River Valley or spend time exploring Halls Creek (just down the street), the Fort Ancient Mounds, and others. This property is tucked away and you wouldn’t even know you’re close to town once you’re on site. Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.

We recently moved from the next county over and are enjoying making this place ours and improvements for guests. Property is 15 minutes south of Cincinnati, close to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), close to restaurants and attractions such as Kings Island (approximately 1 hour), Creation Museum (approximately 25 minutes) and The Ark (approximately 25 minutes). Also nearby are several state parks and local favorites such as Big Bone State park, Rabbit Hash,and Riverbend. We have 2 dogs who walk with us on leash and recently added chickens and goats! Elmer and Clyde do like to wander and explore. They are very friendly. Learn more about this land: Gravel driveway leads up to both spots. We do try to keep it maintained, but frequently rain causes ruts faster than we can fill. It should not impede drivability, but use caution and feel free to ask if you have any concerns. #1 improvement planned is paving driveway. You may also experience some vehicle noise from roadway. Typically, as we are on a back road, it is fairly quiet but some drivers may be louder than others and some evenings see more traffic. Level gravel area for RV parking, second plateau available for multiple tent sites. Campfires in designated area. Deer, wild turkeys, opossums and raccoons are plentiful and often wander through. Less common are foxes and bald eagles that make their home at Doe Run Lake nearby. Main home on property but only close enough for assistance, not interference. Homesteading in progress with many improvements being added. Property is close to Creation Museum and the Ark. 10 minutes from restaurants and expressway but feels like a retreat. While we do not provide full hook-up sites, a convenient dump station is available near the park entrance. Our camping season runs from May 1st to October 31st, making it the perfect getaway for both short and long-term stays. In addition to our camping amenities, Logan's Gap is ideally located near two historic sites associated with the Underground Railroad: the John Rankin House and the John Parker House. Just 25 miles east on Route 50, you can visit the birthplace of President Ulysses S. Grant. For those looking to explore beyond the campground, the charming towns of Maysville, KY, and Augusta, KY, are just across the Ohio River, offering a variety of shopping and dining options. East Fork Campground

Having rowed and camped here a handful of times during college - it's an easy getaway from the city of Cincinnati. My husband (boyfriend at the time) and I wouldn't even both grabbing a tent most times and just kick it in the back of our SUV, bring along the s'more supplies and getaway for the night. Within the park there's lots of easy walking trails, a great little beach and brand new pavilion that hosts many events through out the spring and summer. Park staff keeps it pretty darn clean and well-maintained all year round. We loved it so much we actually held our wedding here last year!
