Come stay at RailRoad Camp, ONLY 3.5 miles from Laramie County fairgrounds 11 miles from Frontier Park for Cheyenne Frontier Days!! Beautiful "dry" camping spots available for tents, Truck top campers, and camper vans. No RVs or pull behind campers. The property has over 400 trees, porta potties will be available, and an outdoor shower will be installed soon! Well Water also available to fill Campers if needed. Horses welcomed with prior approval with host, but limited spots available for horses. The camp host is willing to arrange rides to and from Frontier Park as well as Laramie County Fairgrounds with notice and fee as long as host is available. We look forward to sharing our beautiful piece of Wyoming with you! Camping areas are available in any of the white outlined areas as designated by campsite signs and designated spots outlined on Hip Camp. Parking is the area highlighted in blue. If it gets full, can also park in the back pasture area. Porta potties are located at the light green way point. Water hydrants are located at the Blue X waypoints. We do have honey bee hives on property, which are located with the Yellow X waypoint. You are more than welcome to view them if you would like, just please do not touch the hives or any of their watering frames which are black. We also have Chicken coops on property with 26 hens and 2 roosters which are located at the red waypoint with the bird. They do enjoy going up to people and eating out of hands. They might peck slightly when trying to eat though. The 2 roosters do protect their hens. Park vehicle in the blue highlighted area as to not have vehicle traffic in the grassed areas down the tree rows. Also, to not have someone accidentally run over a small tree. Please watch out for pink flags. Those markers are for smaller trees so they are easy to spot and not broken down by stepping on them. You are more than welcome to drive along the right side of the property just past the blue area to the back pasture area if you need to for unloading gear for the back wooded tent sites. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to my cell number at 678-618-8190 anytime! ***ANIMALS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES***

We stopped in briefly overnight on a trip out West. The host and his family were friendly and accommodating.

We felt so welcomed when we got to John's land. It was pouring rain and he and his children all bustled out into the rain to show us where to park and set up. They even helped us unload all our gear. We also loved waking up to the rooster and the chickens. Beautiful space off the main road without the busy road noises like all the other camping areas near cheyenne. We would definitely go back!

Great tent camping and cute dog!
Tent · Group trip ·
John has a great property for tent camping. He was very friendly with our group throughout the entire weekend- he even helped our friend fix her tent after a storm. His dog, Ace, kept us company all weekend long as well! John was also able to hook us up with a friend for a ride to Frontier Days. Absolutely great experience, thanks John!

Train comes by constantly
The train comes by every 15 minutes throughout the night and I wish we would have known that. It’s right next to the tracks. If the train came once or even twice, it would have been fine to get back to sleep, but the constant screeching every 15 minutes with the lights and bells and thundering noise is unbelievable. It’s impossible to sleep… we went to our car to sleep the first night and didn’t even bother staying the second night.

Perfect Stay for Frontier Days!
John is a very welcoming host! He has a lot of land - the campsites were well spread out. We loved getting to be around the chickens. The neighbor’s goats were a hit as well. We stayed here for the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo. It was an easy commute to the rodeo! Around 20 minutes away.

I loved how we had a lot of available space to choose from to set up camp. John made it very easy and got back to me quickly whenever I had questions. The land was also beautiful.
