This campsite is a serene haven with stunning sunset views and a welcoming atmosphere. Reviewers frequently mention the peacefulness, with many appreciating the proximity to Rockhampton and the option for beach trips to Emu Park. The presence of friendly animals like cows and a white horse adds to the charm, and the basic facilities like outdoor showers and fire pits are appreciated. However, there are occasional hiccups with cleanliness and some negative experiences with the host, Ian.

Great spot, warm welcoming from Ian. Basic toilets and shower, don’t be scared of the wildlife and don’t forget the repellent 😃

It was absolutely pouring with rain when we arrived, Ian and Tracy so kindly let us set up our tent inside their shed so that we could stay dry! They were super super lovely and accommodating!

Cows and camping
It was a really nice camping spot. We were lucky enough to be the only ones there the night we stayed. Ian was lovely, the cows were a welcome addition to our night and the view as the sun set was completely gorgeous. Would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone going through rockhampton

Great Camping Spot
Beautiful location with great facilities including toilet, shower and camp fires ($15 for 15kg of wood). The white horse (I named her Blanca) on the property wandered over and said hello which was lovely ☺️ Highly recommend this spot and only 20min from Rocky.

Beautiful spot - sunrise by the dam was spectacular. Great location too, pretty close to Rocky and an easy drive to the beach at Emu Park. Had a great weekend here - would definitely stay again.
