Enjoy a convenient and relaxing base to discover the best of Hervey Bay at our 150-acre cattle grazing farm located just 3km outside of town, with plenty of space for campers. To access the farm, turn right off the Maryborough Highway into Chapel Rd, then turn right at the picnic table beside the bikeway, and do not drive over the cattle grid. The entrance is right beside the grid with reflectors on each post. If you're having trouble finding the entrance, please call Ray at 0459247041 or Judy at 0459247042.
We offer numerous camping sites on cleared land lined by trees, near to our gully and seasonal creek. Each site is private and offers plenty of space. Campers must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, but there is a 24/7 dump station just 2km away.
A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore.
Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient.
Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure.
Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too!
Kids under 5 stay free and don't need to be included in the booking group count. Check-in is welcome after 9 am and you can depart anytime.
This campsite is well-loved for its convenient location close to Hervey Bay and the peaceful surroundings that include beautiful natural scenes and friendly wildlife. Many campers appreciate the easy access to local bike trails and coffee shops, making it a favored spot for those looking to explore the area. While the proximity to the highway means some noise, it typically quiets down at night, ensuring a restful sleep. Hosts Ray and Judy are often praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the campground.
Small cow paddock for the power sites . Hard to escape other campers. With the no leash policy dogs are free to wander so beware even if you keep your dog tied up other campers don’t have to . Ray is so lovely and friendly easy to talk to. Close proximity to everything. Great place to stay if you need to save a few dollars. Cows were off in the distance. Paddocks slashed regularly. . Could not find much firewood best to bring your own. Amazing sunsets . Noise of Hway goes away after dark won’t keep you awake . Easy to find and ray is quick to answer and help out . Loved how simple the experience was and was great to spend a couple of days connected to power. Reasonable phone service as well. Would recommend the bike track walk especially at sunset very peaceful.
