Get in early to set up camp at your choice of positions on a mostly flat paddock in the crook of huge private valley. 4WD is not totally necessary but may be advantageous in wet weather or to those wanting to get off the beaten track.
With creek frontage, shade trees overhead and ranging hills behind, at this camp site you will be sure to catch sight of many birds, wallabies, and other wildlife. Bring your camera!
There is a porta loo (and coming soon, a hot shower) on site, we will hire more if bookings are thick but if you are self contained that is awesome! We have a few fire pits and rings available.
Exploring the area is a must. You have the creek right here and the forest, nearby are National Parks with marked trails, more creeks to swim in and wildlife to observe.
Bunya Farm Produce is open on Saturday mornings for a taste of the best offerings around and Amamoor markets greet the steam train every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday morning. There are many farm-gate suppliers in the region for you try our fresh produce.
Kybong has "Hell Town Hotrods" as you imagine, this place is an Alladin's Cave for those into anything vintage, retro, car or petrol.... complete with a workshop for custom hotrod rebuilds. There is a neat cafe and bar on site too.
Gympie is close by with the Heritage Museum, featuring the history of gold mining and industries of the area. You can learn how to pan for gold there then come back and practice in the creek.
Art enthusiasts should drop in for morning tea at Chai Chai, and see what’s on exhibition at The ART POST then Gympie Region Art Gallery - both venues offer high quality exhibits and sale of artworks by our local artists.
SoMa SoMa is where to go for awesome breakfast, brunches or lunches with delicious coffee, shakes and fresh juices also, open from 6:30am 7 days a week. Friday nights SoMa SoMa opens the Tapas and Wine Bar.

The Gympie Region Art Gallery always has high quality exhibits and houses a gallery store representing many of our quality local artisans. Art lovers won't be disappointed, many of our regions artists have been exhibited in state and national galleries and some even overseas.
On the northern edge of Gympie you will find the Woodworks Museum, housing a great display of tools and loads of information about the timber industries of our region. Demonstrations of tools in use are available to groups on arrangement - give them a call.
Nature photographers won't need to go far from camp, if they need to leave at all. Amamoor Creek is abundant with enough wildlife, flora and fauna to keep you busy for days!

La Dolce Vita offers a serene and spacious camping experience that's perfect for those looking to unwind in nature. With its lush grassy areas and a refreshing creek, it's a spot where families can relax and kids can safely play. Steve, the host, is consistently praised for his warm hospitality and the meticulous upkeep of the grounds, including the exceptionally clean toilet facilities. While the area is relatively remote, it provides a peaceful retreat with ample room to explore, though some campers noted the lack of on-site water sources and the occasional cow pat.

Awesome secluded spot. Had the place to ourselves Sunday and Monday night with only the cows to keep us company. Steve was a great host, toilet was always clean and tidy. Grounds were nicely mowed.
Will go back again at our next opportunity 🙂👍

We loved our weekend away at Steve’s place. He was such a welcoming and friendly host and were the only ones there! The creek was lovely and the portaloo was the cleanest I’ve ever seen!

Such a beautiful spot to get back to basics.
Running creek, not too crowded, campfires a huge bonus. Simplicity at its best.

Steve is a great host and the grounds and creek are beautiful. The port a loo was one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen! Steve keeps it all very clean and tidy. Our dog refused to leave. 😂

Second stay for our family in this lovely spot, no on there but us some stunning looking cows and a kangaroo. The water in the creek was warm and clear. The paddock was mowed and the toilet clean. Fire pits are provided and some can be moved around. You can pick sunny or shady spot for your tent. camp in the open or under trees, by the creek or at the foot of the mountain. It doesn't get more peaceful relaxing romantic and close to nature than this.
Thank you again Steve for sharing your piece of paradise.
See you soon.
