Two Mile Crossing is a 101 acre property consisting of mostly bushland with a small creek running through the middle, offering primitive bush camping for those who love to be out in nature. There is abundant birdlife here such as black cockatoos, kookaburras and tiny little robins, you will see bandicoots and the occasional goanna. The creek flows year 'round and when there has been good rains, there are plentiful deep water holes to dip your feet into and get cool. There are a few walking tracks throughout the property for those who like to take short walks and for longer bushwalking adventures, Two Mile Crossing is bordered by the Fortis Creek National Park where there a plentiful tracks for those who love to explore the bush. We are only 20 mins drive from the 'mighty' Clarence River which is great for swimming, canoeing and fishing and we are also only 25 mins from Grafton central which has shops, cinemas and places to eat. Just recently we have added two gorgeous piglets to our family who love to hang out with us and the chickens. Come and help us feed every afternoon. .This is a large site in a private bush setting set approx 1 km into the property. This site is suitable for off-road medium to small caravans and camper trailers. There is a small creek crossing that needs to be crossed to access this site, so 4wd is definitely needed. The site is located next to our creek and has a composting toilet and bucket shower for use by campers. Fires are permitted here and we encourage you to bring your pet. This site is suitable for both couples or large groups and when you book this site you get the whole area to yourself no matter how many in the group.

Secluded but Critter Central
16 ft car
Overall a lovely private, spacious, and secluded spot. It was great to have a bucket shower and clean toilet. Location 30 mins outside of Grafton which was also ideal. We have spent plenty of time hiking/camping/fishing but have never quite experienced the amount of critters in one location as we did here. Aggressive jumping jack ants unfortunately made their way into some of our kit across a few locations around the site and caused bites. We also had close encounters with a snake, scorpion, plenty of golden orb spiders, bull ants, mosquitos, and some deafening cicadas. Obviously it’s next to impossible for the hosts to plan or minimise the critters, but I would just be mindful if you’re on the squeamish-side (or have kids), as you may struggle. This could have been because we camped in peak summer but be careful either way. Otherwise, a beautiful spot!

How's the serenity?!

Lovely stay in Kookaburra Clearing - how's the serenity! Great hosts - thanks Matt & Lize for having us. Excellent welcome booklet in arrival - and a couple of bum nuts from the girls. Went very nicely with some bacon!

A gorgeous private spot to relax
19 ft pop-up camper
We had a wonderful time at Kookaburra clearing, site was so quiet and private, perfect for what we are after. The dogs could roam free, and fully enjoyed this awesome spot. Matt and Lize (Marijke ;-)) are extremely nice hosts, we had the privilege them joining us for a few beers. We were also treated to meet Tom & Jerry (the pigs), Gus the goat and "The Girls" (chickens). Furthermore we went to the Red Point Hotel in Copmanhurst, for lunch which is definitely worth the trip, a 20 odd minutes. We will most definitely be back, at this gorgeous HipCamp.

I loved camping at Kookaburra Clearing, it was lovely and private with lots of birds to watch. Some beautiful walks around the property to the creek, lookout and the longer fire trails. Nearby Fortis Creek NP was lovely for a walk too. Matt and Lize were super friendly. Would certainly recommend this property for a quiet, relaxed weekend around the campfire.
