This is home, a realization of a lifelong dream of living in the country.  The land is magical.  Our animals are our family.   Learn more about this land: If you like privacy you'll love our 200 acre haven.  Come up the long driveway the spacious view of the open hay field.  Camp in the open or tucked away in the trees.  You choose the spot as long as it's not in the horse pasture, cow pasture when cows are in, or in the hay field when hay is long before it's cut.  Hay field would be off limits roughly late June to Mid July during optimal growth time and cutting.    We are a 20 minute drive from the North Entrance to Itasca State Park and the Headwaters of the Mississippi.  Also LaSalle Lake Recreation Area is only about six or seven miles down the road.  If you like privacy you'll love our 200 acre haven.

Beautiful landscape
Tent
The drive in was amazing, big beautiful trees and snow everywhere. Definitely the nicest people I have ever met. I got stuck in the snow and multiple people offered to help me. The host was polite and met with me as I pulled in.

Beautiful, quiet, and safe
Tent · With pets
Beautiful, large property with many areas to camp. I parked near the hay barn, which was very pleasant. Terry was extremely kind and easy to communicate with. I saw the horses and one cat, which kept their distance from me and my dog. There are no facilities but if you bring your own setup and/or use a bathroom on the way, it's no problem. The bugs weren't too bad, but are definitely prevalent so bring spray. Great place to see the sun set and rise, and felt very safe. There's a bar, grill, and market down the street if needed, otherwise it's pretty remote.

Not quiet but definitely off grid
Tent
We actually ended up having to leave due to a personal emergency and did not stay the full night :( BUT the open space was beautiful and the horses were a nice sight. However, before we left someone was firing off shots in the vicinity which made it difficult to relax/feel safe. Overall, I would recommend this site to anyone who simply wants to go off the grid for a day or two, if you don’t mind the occasional sound of cars/hunting (depending on where you are on the site). Ultimately, we spent most of our day down at the recommended LaSalle Lake Area on our inflatable boat which was a lot of fun in the sun!

I'm a repeat visitor - I've stayed out on the fields, and near the structures. The corner bar is a great place for dinner and a drink too (about a half mile west) - Highly recommend, lovely place to be when the sun is going down. Will be back again in future. Love it
