Explore 14 wooded acres nestled atop a ridge overlooking the Jordan River Valley. During the day explore the acreage, play corn hole, yardzee, cards or horse shoes. Venture out to Charlevoix, Boyne City and nearby Lake Michigan Beaches. At night, choose between the star studded sky or projecting a movie on the tent with your personal streaming device. This property is 1 mile from Jordan River Canoe Launch, less than 10 minutes to downtown East Jordan and Jordan Valley Outfitters and 30 minutes to Lake Michigan. Glamp in comfort in this 4 season 14x16 wall tent. Host will provide 11 gallons of water, linens, soap and solar amenities. All you need to bring is food.

Composting toilet. Campers will use commode liners for solid waste due to health and safety regulations. Solid waste will be packed out with campers.

Off leash, on leash. It’s off a busy road, if your dog is at risk to others or running off, keep them on a leash. Kennels available.

Bottled water or jugs. Hosts will provide 11 gallons. Campers will be responsible for all water thereafter.

Relaxing Ridge

Group trip

We loved camping at Kayla’s Boomers Ridge. The sunrises were spectacular as well as the birding . She had everything we needed for comfort . We didn’t mind the hike up to the camp either. Kayla was very friendly and available to receive questions and responded graciously. I treated my 3 adult daughters to this retreat, and after our report and photos, my husband is hoping that he and I can escape to Boomers Ridge also.

Our stay was amazing! Kayla has clearly put a lot of hard work into creating a beautiful, enjoyable camping experience. We appreciated the easy to follow directions, the privacy, the gorgeous views, and the well thought out accommodations.

Camping in style

My family and I loved this camping experience! A beautiful site on top of a ridge with trees all around, with everything already thought through for you. It’s one of the easiest camping trips we’ve had as a family. The tent itself is large, sturdy and on top of a wooden platform. It had real beds (which is a bonus for us parents, as air mattresses and the ground hurt at this point in our lives), a couch, table, some games, fresh towels, linens, cookware, dishes, cups etc. a few special touches like custom souvenir cups, a welcome note, projector and power source were also included. Additionally, the porch had outdoor furniture along with a chimney style fireplace, which you could make coffee in a provided pot to enjoy in the mornings. As well there was a fire pit with a large stack of wood, with sturdy chairs around, and an outdoor dining set with umbrella. There’s cute lights along the trail at night too! They even have a compostable privy with a sink that pumps water to it you can use for hand washing and dishes. This was super convenient and unexpected in the middle of the woods. Our host was extremely responsive, answered any/all questions we had and even gave suggestions for hiking spots with our dog, beaches and other local outdoor activities. There really is too much to detail here, but it is apparent a lot of thought and effort has gone into this camp and making it as comfortable as possible for anyone looking for camping with comfort. You need to stay here!!

It was a really great time and was way better than what we expected! Kayla made sure everything was perfect for us from the directions to great recommendations to check out close to her land! It meant a lot to me that she set up a dog kennel and left tie outs and dog blankets for my pup so I did not have to lug her kennel there myself. It was so wonderful waking up there and not having neighbors that you can hear or hear cars (like most regular campsites). We even had an accident where my brother broke one of her small kid lawn chairs and she was totally understanding and graceful and didn’t make me feel bad (she told us where to pick one up and it worked out great). Its the perfect amount of rustic and the perfect amount of “glamming”! I hope I can go again next summer.

Best Stargazing Hipcamp

Group trip

Easily one of the best Hipcamp experiences we have had to date. The GPS coordinates the host gave us to find the shared driveway was right on, and we had no issues finding where we were supposed to go. The driveway is gravel with a few open spots, but we had no problems being in a larger 2WD van. The entrance to the property was clearly marked with a hanging metal sign with signs leading us to the parking area. In the parking area, there was a wagon to help us get our belongings up to the tent. The tent is amazing! There is a sofa, queen-size bed, table with chairs, and even a portable projector for watching movies in the evening! The provided Jackery portable power station took care of our power needs. There is even an outdoor shower that has excellent water pressure. We really enjoyed being able just to kick back and relax. The sunset and sunrise were both amazing. The best part of our stay, though, was the stars! We have never seen so many stars at any other Hipcamp before. We could clearly see the Milky Way with our eyes and were blown away by how amazing the star gazing here is. We loved our stay, how relaxing the area was, and how amazing the stars were, and we can't wait to be able to come back and stay again.

This was one of my favorite camps I have stayed at. A beautiful view with great rustic amenities including an outdoor shower, chimney fireplace, and an incredibly comfortable bed. Kayla was also very attentive and replied to any of our questions or concerns! It was also not too far from Charlevoix where we spent a day swimming. Would love to come back here again!

What more could you want!

Group trip

This place was nothing short of amazing. A Hidden private gem that did have all the perfect details already worked out for you. We loved this place, the tent was spacious, organized, clean and comfortable. ( The bed was more comfortable than many hotels I've stayed in, which is super important) Not too mention all the small decorations that just put it all together. From the solar powered Jachery to the sustainable outhouse, the outdoor sink and perfect covered porch area. Great views from sunrise to sunset and close to many things to do if you want to wander out for the day. Never got to see the black bear neighbor and we were glad we didn't, but everything was layed out on what to do and how to deter them. We brought our own pillows (always do), a portable generator for the our extra needs and a small grill since we preferred that vs cooking in the small fire pit. Overall, 5 stars and we loved it. Thank you Hipcamp and Kayla's family for the perfect getaway. Cheers, looking forward to the next visit.
