I was a bit disappointed with my stay. Both times I tried to take a shower the water was cold (first time when I arrived at about 7pm and again the morning I left, around 7am 2 days later). The track to the field is very very bumpy and steep and when it’s been raining becomes very difficult to navigate in a car. The field itself is not flat and the flat spots are either very far from the entrance and toilet shed or taken by the glamping tents. You have a constant roar of the M40 in the background so it’s not exactly peaceful. When I arrived (on a Monday afternoon) the toilet was blocked with diahorrea and the bins were full. There is no security gate so anyone could just drive into the site so I was a bit concerned, especially as I seemed to be the only person there. The shower block itself, though made out with posh taps and a decent shower cubicle, is basically a wooden shed and is full of cobwebs and spiders on the inside. On the plus there is a fridge and a gas hob. But all I really wanted was a flat patch of grass and a hot shower which for £20 a night unfortunately I was not able to find.
