The electric hook up was much appreciated! The hosts were really nice!

Very Frustrated!!
30 ft travel trailer
Unfortunately no one was home, no one answered the door (twice), no one answered the phone (twice) and no one responded to the messages sent through hipcamp as we sat in the driveway for almost 30 minutes after a 5 hour drive. I even gave the host a 20 minute heads up through hipcamp that we were almost there. We were traveling with 3 dogs, my husband was getting a fever and it was after 3 on a Saturday afternoon so we couldn't afford to wait longer to see if they would ever call us back. We shouldn't have had to wait at all since we had a reservation. We were exhausted and just wanted to settle in but we had to scramble to find another place to stay which wasn't easy since our T-mobile service barely worked there. Luckily Trap Pond State Park had a last minute cancellation so we didn't have to drive much further. Turns out my husband was coming down with covid so we really didn't need this huge inconvenience that day. Looked like it could've been a nice place but there was already a big RV parked next to the house so it was confusing as to where we would've stayed. If they were planning to put us next to that RV it would've been very crowded and the driveway was close to the road so really not sure what the plan was. The host's wife didn't call back until we were already pulling into our spot at Trap Pond. My phone had poor service so I really couldn't hear what she was saying other than something like "my husband forgot!" Hipcamp did NOT refund the service fee!!!!

I truly enjoyed my 2 night stay on James' land. I was able to hook up to electric with ease, and James helped with an extension cord. James was incredibly personable, and very accommodating. We also enjoyed quite a bit of conversation while there with him. He is a great guy, and completely recommend his land for camping.

We had a terrific time with Jay and Marsha! They are terrific hosts and fun people. 50 AMP power and great tasting water were awesome. It was quiet and peaceful. Watching the neighbors horses roam their fields kept our dogs and us entertained. The drivway was level too. We really could not ask for more!

J was a great host- very intentional to make sure our stay was going well! We loved exploring Trap Pond State Park and took a day trip to Rehoboth Beach and Henlopen State Park. This was a great base for us! Thank you
