They’re a very friendly group here! It’s primarily an RV site with some cabins and 1-2 ten sites. If you don’t want to be around a bunch of massive RVs, this is not the place for you. Most people seemed to be staying there longer term and it felt like a really nice community.
Being near the clubhouse worked out well for us because we could keep our food in there. Someone who had been staying for a couple of weeks said there had been bears sighted so we were happy to have that option. It is walkable to a grocery store, a liquor store, Dollar General, and the Malt Shop although there are no side walks. There is also a thrift store and the visitor center a short walk away.
Rail Revolution is also a short walk and I recommend doing one of the rail biking excursions. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will be returning. If you are looking to get away from it all and not be near people and activity, try one of the FF sites in the area. But if you want some modern conveniences and to be within a short walk of a charming town, I recommend trying it out.
