Sebago Lake State Park: A Haven for Year-Round Outdoor Fun.
Looking for a place where you can be a beach bum, hike in the foothills, or camp on the shores of a primordial lake just a wee bit outside of Portland? Sebago Lake is at your service! The park's 1,400 acres features sandy beaches, extensive woodlands, ponds, a river and a wide array of critters. Visitors can partake in a diversity of water sports, and boat rentals are available. The camping can’t be beat, as some sites are available right on the beach with postcard views of the lake. Throw in some horse shoe pits, tether ball, and an outdoor movie theatre, and you'll be doing it up Southin’ Main style!
The best time to visit Sebago Lake State Park is during the summer for warm weather activities like swimming and boating. Fall offers stunning foliage, while winter provides opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The park is open from 9am to sunset daily, with year-round fee collection.
