40 acres of primeval Juniper forest, with trees dated at 1200 years old, create the perfect solitude getaway. Camping here in Coconino County north of Ash Fork and Seligman, down 10 miles of isolated dirt road - this is far enough away to feel remote and surrounded by nothing but ancient trees. Yet there are many cool destinations not far away: Once you get out to the highway, Williams is 30 minutes away so you can plan you visit to the Grand Canyon or ride the Grand Canyon Railway. Another 30 minutes in that direction to reach Flagstaff with its skiing, nightlife, observatory, and eclectic culture. Continue exploring and you can visit the red rocks of Sedona, the natural caves of Peach Springs, and the crystal-blue waterfalls at Havasupai. While you're camping, enjoy the peace and quiet surrounded by meadows and ancient Juniper trees. Bring your fifth wheel, camper, toyhauler, or even your tent. Bring as many friends with you as you'd like - there's plenty of space. Sit around a campfire of sweet-smelling Juniper wood while you roast marshmallows. Depending on the time of year, hunting may be in season, with Deer and Elk. Remember that hunting is permitted if you have a valid hunting license, on the adjacent mile-wide parcel of State Trust land sprawling out to the west of the property. Roads are accessible most of the year with just about any kind of vehicle - as long as the weather is nice. So be sure the check the weather report or almanac before planning your visit. If the weather is dry, just about any kind of car, truck or trailer can make it down the 10-miles of dirt road to get to the property. If rain is on the calendar, you're going to need 4-wheel-drive and clearance. The dirt roads develop deep mud patches that can mire most cars or trailers. There will also be snow in the wintertime - so plan accordingly for mud, ice, and rough roads. But most of the year is easy as long as it's dry!

It started with two women in love and inspired to live closer to nature, feed themselves and others, and know where their food comes from. The realization quickly came that many more hands would be needed to transform the space into a productive farm with infrastructure to support that. Many hands did come and eventually the space became a temporary home to dozens of wwoofers and many others as well. Then as the relationships of the people here shifted in new and wonderful ways we began to hold space as a birthing sanctuary. Here there is a profoundly palpable healing energy and it is a transformational space of spiritual growth. What we've found, and the reason the name "Dharma Farmily" came to us, is that truly we humans are the ones being farmed, for our Dharma. Many have come and experienced incredible catalyzation towards their soul's deepest desire to live in that space of offering their greatest gifts to the world and experiencing the timeless unconditional happiness that goes along with that. Excellent location for exploring Northern Arizona This is a camping area just 5 miles from restaurants, bars, quaint little tourist stores, gas stations and even a hardware store. Located just west of Seligman with road access directly to the property and excellent access to Interstate 40 and Route 66. You can rest and gather your thoughts while enjoying the great outdoors. You can drive right onto the property and set up your RV or your tents. There are no services at this site it is a dry camping area for as many days as you need. Whatever you pack in you must pack out. No garbage waste or pollution whatsoever. The meadow is full of prairie dogs so be careful driving around so you don't drive into a prairie dog hole. No campfires or open flames at all. All campers must have their own waste facility such as their own camping toilet and water source. Absolutely No dumping any waste on the property. There's no electricity on the property so bringing your own generator is a good idea, if you need electricity. Tried getting here from the East. Google maps, which is 99% reliable kept putting me on really old roads that resembled four wheeler trails. Each one taking me to a locked gate on private ranch land. The sun was setting, so I had to give up after an hour. Go to Mingus Mountain instead, if you're coming from the East. It's worth the change of course.
