You can view our palms at all stages of growth from seed to maturity. Enjoy our U-pick varieties of mangos, Caribbean cherries, sugar cane, bananas, coconuts and we’re adding more all the time. There is even a sugarcane maze and bamboo gardens in progress for the kids and adults to enjoy. But don’t forget your veggies! Get up close and personal with where some of your medicines and vegetables come from. We have some small areas for education about different medicinal plants like Turmeric, ginger, saw palmetto and a few others. Take the tours or classes or just sit back and enjoy the view! Property is shared by home owner, horses, additional Rv pad, and about a dozen chickens. Quiet and tranquil location. Mutual respect for privacy is required. Downtown Fort Myers is about a 20-minute drive and has many local restaurants and shops if you want to go out and about. They typically have events on the weekends like Art Walk and Music Walk! We are a 20-minute drive from Babcock Ranch - a community open to the public that has several walking/biking trails, a beautiful lake for kayaking/fishing, and a small dog park. They also have a restaurant (Lakehouse Kitchen and Bar) that looks out over the water and live entertainment on certain days of the week! If you are looking for a full farm-to-table experience, Buckingham Farms is 20 minutes from us and is a 85-acre farm with fresh produce grown hydroponically! We are also a one-minute drive to "Blossom & Brie" which is another farm-to-table experience that offers brunch, lunch, and dinner on a 50 acre farm! With just a 2-minute drive, we have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding. There are also a handful of other nature preserves and parks in the local area that are around a 20 to 25-minute drive! Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV. Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds. We are dog lovers and dogs are welcome, we have two sweet and friendly ranch dogs, females, German Shepherd that walk freely at the property. If you love nature you may be surprised by a deer, alligator, hog, armadillo, panther, turtle, rabbit, raccoon, we already saw so many over here, you can see but please don’t touch, remember they are not pets and are free in their habitats! We producing a delicious raw honey just for us, not selling, you can see some working bees. We have some fruits trees like bananas, oranges, lemons, limes, mangos, avocados, that maybe you are luck and are in the season when you arrive, and yes, you are allowed to pick it if in season. Also you are more than welcome to bring any fruit tree and plant here during your stay. You can watch an amazing sunrise and sunset that are memorable. At night you can prepare delicious s'mores, bring your stuff and gaze into the night sky filled with stars like you've never seen. There is a social area with hammock, relaxing chairs, fire-pit, outdoor open shower, barbecue, table. Bring more chairs if you are a big family. If you like fishing, bring your stuff and you can fish at the water canal that are in the back of our property, we already got some delicious yummy Tilapias. The water that we provide come from a well, we use filters to purify it and use as shower and hose, but bring your drink water. You can bring your UTV and ATV to ride over here. If you are in a mood for a horseback, we can share a contact of a lady that bring them to our property, must be arranged prior to visit. Talking about outside the ranch, you can see our neighbors with orange farms, dragon fruit plantations, passion fruit plantations, bamboo plantations, ostrich farm, chicken farm. The town of LaBelle offers a lot to do and you must visit some places like LaBelle Nature Park, and Barron Park, we love to go there afternoons after grabbing a pizza. Talking restaurants, we can recommend our favorites, like a Italian restaurant, Mexican restaurant, a Brewing co, and a delicious Pelican's SnoBall shaved-ice snow cones that we are addicts of it! We are located 30 minutes from town, no stores or gas stations close by. Please come fully equipped with your own utensils, cooking essentials, food and beverages. We're also within 50 miles away of Estero Beach and 44 miles of Fort Myer. Bring sunscreen and a hat, we are in Florida and it is always super hot over here during the day. Don’t forget the bug repellent and a sweater, sometime the temperature drop during night. You may want a flashlight or headlamp for walking around at night. Enjoy the Florida outdoors lifestyle and we hope you enjoy your stay with us!

Amazing experience for our new years eve anniversary under the stars by the fire! Fantastic set up and very user friendly. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and the site was perfect. They had coconuts that we were able to drink fresh out of and we got an amazing tour of the farm! Our dog loved it and had a blast playing with muffin and brave. Would definitely recommend this for an option to unplug from the work week. The stars were incredible and just what we were hoping to see for our 1st anniversary!

We had a good experience; the campsite is spacious and has plenty of shade. The bathroom was clean and close to our tent. John was very attentive. We had a problem with our inflatable mattress and had to buy a new one, but luckily, and very conveniently, there's a Walmart only 20 minutes away. The only thing we didn't like is that for us, the camping experience is about connecting with nature, but the constant noise of passing cars disrupted that connection. We would come back, but to a different campsite. Overall, we enjoyed it.

6 nights at Bell Oaks Ranch 5 min from Beach

This spot was exactly what we were looking for. The amenities were great, electric hookup, water, and a bathroom with a shower, which made the stay very comfortable. The farm itself was adorable. The horses were beautiful, and we loved spotting a peacock wandering around the property. It was a short drive to the beaches, yet still far enough away to enjoy wonderfully dark skies for stargazing at night. We also enjoyed having nighttime fires, with firewood conveniently available for purchase on-site. Overall, it was a perfect little getaway for my partner, our pets, and me. We’d absolutely stay again.

John, his wife Patty, and son John are all so wonderful! Extremely family friendly with lots of activities if you have kids, and REAL dog lovers. If you're looking for the perfect peaceful relaxing getaway for ALL your family members look no further. Dogs are allowed off leash and our dog felt very much at home and happy to have so many new friends! We were so at peace we extended our stay. We had 2 different sites that I'd strongly recommend. The Hideaway was stellar and felt like a literal hideaway! Cute and tucked away with a shady spot with a hammock. Shadie Oaks was exactly how it sounds, wonderful and shady and an extra nice big space with plenty of room in the sun! Both spaces have a fire pit, some chairs, and a picnic table. You're not far from town to get more supplies or ice, but it feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. Potable water isn’t available, but electric is provided and an amazing outdoor shower! Very nice bathroom as well. Highly recommend getting wood from them too. Got a huge bundles and well worth the price. It was a very pleasant stay. If peace, quiet, and relaxation is what you're looking for you've found THE place you NEED to stay. It helped going out on the river a few times as well. The kayak rentals are VERY reasonable. We had fun taking our dog out on the tandem kayak! Fixed us right up and we're looking forward to our next trip because we plan on visiting again in the future!

Amazing campsite! Very secluded with excellent privacy. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us and our kids. The site was clean, well-maintained, and cozy, and our kids had a blast with all the campsite had to offer. Our kids love fishing, so this was an awesome spot for them. We also purchased the firewood add-on and were given plenty, which was much appreciated. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and look forward to coming back again.

My family had a great time at John’s camp and we were all sad to be leaving. The place was clean and well stocked. John was friendly and there if you needed him but, we never felt like we were being watched. My husband and I loved being able to take our daughter on the kayaks (which were a great price), my daughter loved the trampoline and plethora of swings, and our dog loved being able to lounge on the deck with the occasional visit from John’s dogs. Overall could not recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a quiet getaway especially if you enjoy being on the water.

History takes centerstage at Koreshan State Park. Discover the fascinating legacy of the Koreshans, a religious sect led by Dr. Cyrus R. Teed, who were among Florida’s most unique pioneers. Gain an insight into their communal lifestyles as you explore the restored late 19th- and early 20th-century buildings and learn their eccentric beliefs about the universe. Then, recreate your own utopia as you check into the state campground, hike along bamboo-shaded trails, enjoy wildlife-watching and bird-watching along the Estero River, or take to the water to boat, paddle, or fish. Koreshan Campground has space for tents and RVs up to 40 feet, all with electric and water hookups. Some campsites even have spots to hang your hammock.

Tips for snagging a campsite

The 60 campsites at Koreshan State Campground can be reserved via the Florida State Parks Reservation website.
Koreshan campsite reservations can be made 11 months in advance for Florida residents, or 10 months in advance for non-residents.
Campsites can book up as fast, so book at least three months in advance or at least six months in advance for holiday weekends.

When to go

The Koreshan historic settlement is open daily from 8am to 5pm, and both the state park and campground are open year-round. It’s busiest over the summer months when the wooded park provides welcome shade from the heat, and with the Gulf Coast beaches a short drive away, the campground makes a popular alternative to the busy coastal resorts.

Know before you go

Koreshan State Park is located 21 miles south of Fort Myers, about a 30-minute drive.
There are day-use fees for all Florida State Parks, and campsite booking fees also apply.
Dogs are welcome at Koreshan State Park but must be kept on a six-foot, hand-held leash.
Facilities at Koreshan State Park include restrooms, picnic areas, a playground, a boat ramp, a campfire circle, and canoe and kayak rentals.

This is a Florida State Park with interesting ties to an old "cult". The Koreshans believed the earth is hollow rather than round. They thought the world was on the inside crust of the planet and the sky was the inside of the earth. They also practiced celibacy, which gave rise to community, and equality to attain immortality. Many buildings to explore and the history of the Koreshans.
